Guaranteed, Manning has 400 yards and 5 TD's the Queefs won't be leaving with a win.

You think KC could score 36 pts in that scenerio?

it'll be tough if the chiefs surrender that many points. but JFC is a MVP candidate for a reason. If Charles scores a couple and Smith throws two and runs another, then the game can come down to FGs.

Smith can stay within himself and still win against a porous defense.

The way that KC's D is slipping is just like 2009 Denver. Teams get more film and schemes don't work as well. I am dying for Sunday night to get here.

When you guys claim Denver's D is porous it just shows me you look at stats and don't actually watch the games.

The problems is they can't even read the stats(boxscores) correctly either

Oh, they will.....Broncos football - "We're getting our 40 points...."

but JFC is a MVP candidate for a reason.

Yes, but so is PFM because he throws for more TD's in 3 games than your boy Alex throws in an entire season

If Charles scores a couple and Smith throws two and runs another, then the game can come down to FGs.

If Charles scores twice and Alex throws two...that's still only 28...and you already think Manning will throw 5 TD's himself But you're right....it will come down to FG's....as in how many the Chiefs will end up kicking as they stall in the red zone.

Smith can stay within himself and still win against a porous defense.

I'm sure he can...however Peyton usually puts opposing offenses in a big hole and that means Smith won't be able to "stay within himself" as he'll have to throw the ball an awful lot midway thru the 3rd qtr.

in bold

denver is shown nationally every week. two solid outings isn't enough for me to unsee the crap the broncos fielded the first seven weeks. and i doubt even you are sold on a defense that has allowed at least 20 points all but once this year. (and we know what team that was )

hey, did you notice the chiefs worst defensive performance is still better than denver's best? i guess this is where you mention backup QBs and bury your head.

Like I said above 6 quarters without a score of any kind, 6 since the last kFc passing TD and 10 since your MVP has scored on the ground.

124 total yards passing and 210 net yards O vs the Bills.

Denver got good timely stops vs SD and held Rivers who is a much better QB to only 218 yards passing.

Denver D played good against the Colts. Denver gave up 14 to Washington ON DEFENSE and exactly 20 to San Diego and Philly who have put points on the board this year. Again you are using stats and fantasy football to make your determination.

How would the KC D deal with injuries to top 4 players?

Our D going up against an offense that hasn't scored 30 but once all year?

Have you noticed our average half of scoring is better than almost every game your offense has had?

Denver Broncos - Scoring more in a half than the Chiefs do all game

Since this thread is titled some fun KFC stats....this next January will mark the 20th anniversary of the chefs last playoff win. I won't mention the last Super Bowl win since most weren't around at the time.

kFc signs another 49er cast off Kyle Williams

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...as-city-chiefs

It didn't take long for Kyle Williams to land a new gig.

The fourth-year pro revealed his new employer just one day after he was waived by the San Francisco 49ers:

The Kansas City Star later confirmed through the player's agent that Williams will join a Chiefs receiving corps that includes Donnie Avery, Dexter McCluster and also the embattled Dwayne Bowe, who will start against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night despite being arrested on charges of speeding and marijuana possession over the weekend.

Schein: Best in the AFC West?
The surging Broncos and undefeated Chiefs are on a collision course for Sunday night, and Adam Schein senses a surprise. READ
Williams also reunites with pass-catcher A.J. Jenkins, who was shipped from San Francisco to Kansas City in August for the equally lackluster Jon Baldwin. Williams will assume the roster spot of fellow former 49ers receiver Chad Hall, who was released after the move.

Kansas City currently uses McCluster on punt returns and Quintin Demps to field kicks, but Williams gives the team added experience on both fronts. It's a depth move for a squad that doesn't push the ball downfield much with Alex Smith.

The Chiefs quarterback now has another of his old 49ers mates to throw to, and Williams has a new opportunity to prove he's worth keeping around.

Upgrading the $56 Million Dollar WR's position with a guy known for fumbling. It is apparent that Bowe is not producing and they are desperate for anyone who can get open deep where Alice Bono can put every ounce of his noodle arms strength into the throw and get a big field flipping play out of him.

I thought they would be desperate to sign either Cox or Ed Reed but they think with some more down field threats they can hang with Denver in a shoot out!

THere is a reason these bums have been let go and cleared waivers!

Going to love to see Williams muff a punt vs us either Sunday night or in a couple weeks at Analhead.

Weird how our D has improved since the return of our best defensive player and one of the best in the league in Miller. Keep disregarding that fact..whatever you need to do to think KC has a shot at winning. Whether you idiot KC fans believe it or not, playing the other teams 2nd/3rd string rookie QBs in some cases matters! Look at how awesome the Packers are without Rodgers! By your logic, KC has a better chance of winning with Smith on the bench. Only way you win is if we lose the turnover battle by 2+.

Good posting. If Charles scores a couple and Smith throws two and runs another, the Chiefs would have 5 touchdowns. That might be enough to make the game close enough to come down to FG's.

Of course, KC hasn't scored 4 offensive TD's all season, and hit 3 exactly twice in 9 games, so good luck with that.

Q: What does Alex Smith call 3 TD passes?
A: career best game.

Q: what does Peyton Manning call 3 TD passes?
A: a good quarter.

As if Jamaal Charles has any legitimate shot at league MVP in a season in which sports media has invented an entirely new stats category called "QBs NOT named Peyton Manning" --

Question: Have the Chiefs scored 5 touchdowns at all this year?

In 6 of 9 games, KC's offense scored 19 or fewer points.

In 9 of 9 games, Den's offense scored 19 or more in a single half.

yes. They have 16 rushing/receiving TD's on the season, and 7 D/ST TD's.

I wonder if there has ever been a team in the history of the NFL to score 30% or more of their TD's on returns?
