yeah...from 1990-1994 he was teamed up with Charlie Jones. They did a lot of Broncos games back then.

He had been relegated to much lower tier college broadcasts. Hated him as an announcer more than even Phil Simms.

anything thrown in his vicinity, he caught. every time we played the raiders, i'd be screaming for anyone to guard the guy, cuz he caught so many balls. also, he had the quintessential porn stache. RIP, Todd. Gone too soon.

Much respect for his accomplishments, but hated his Bronco game broadcasts. Pretty much him and Randy Cross are my all time worst broadcaster list.

Wow this is truly sad news. He was a good color analyst and very young! Consider things like this and be grateful it worked out for John Fox the way it has.

Todd Christensen RIP .....

He would of loved playing in the TE dominate offence that some teams run today.

The only games my father would watch with 850 KOA on were when Todd Christensen announced. Still a great career. RIP.

Todd Christensen worked on the Mountain West Network late in his career calling a lot of Wyoming and CSU games. I remember hating him as an NFL broadcaster but actually grew to kind of like him when he called Wyo games. (my alma mater)

Wow, he was one of the first athletes that I really knew about. I started watching sports as a kid in the early '80s. In LA, that meant Lakers, Dodgers, and Raiders for the most part. And UCLA and USC. The Raiders were huge then, and I hate to admit it, but my first sports hero was Marcus Allen. My folks bought me and my brothers all kind of Raiders stuff, and my pops had season tickets. It wasn't until one day in 1987, when I was 10, when I just wasn't feeling the Raiders, and started rooting for the team that they happened to be playing that day. That team was the Broncos, and I've been a fan ever sense.

Anyways, Christensen was big time and extremely popular. Much respect to that guy, and it sucks to hear that he passed away at such a young age.

On a side note, working in sports media I've seen Marcus Allen a number of times. Once I was on the sidelines at the Coliseum, and he was standing near me, by himself. I've struck up conversations with big named athletes in those situations. But he played for the Raiders, Chiefs, and USC (I grew up a UCLA fan and went to the school). So I had nothing to say to him, because he played for the three football teams that I hate the most. lol

He was a lousy color analyst and always took pot shots at the Broncos. Whoever the Broncos were playing, that's the team he favored. Glad he got bumped from the NFL as he definitely did not know how to objectively analyze games.

This. I respected him as a worthy opponent, he was that. But I thought he was average at best color announcer. He always took verbal swings at Elway and the broncos. That got old...he didnt have the chance to.. RIP
