- now that was an awesome call. the best part is he was worried about his "spot" in our health system.. I told him most people of means are making large contribution to the hospital foundation to secure thier "spot" so to speak.. I just heard he committed to a 1M+ give over the next 4 years....

Panic and Fear- such a great fundraising tool... and its not partisan, my liberal and conservative Richie Richs are coming out of the woodwork all over the place...
I sold a lot of my weapons during the gun/mag-grab scare earlier this year for twice the value. One gun for over three times it's value. I'll be replacing some of them now for a fraction of the cost.Panic & fear really are a great fundraisers. Just ask organized religion...

I gotta say after seeing the new "solution" to the Obamacare fiasco - essentially ignoring the law - I have to just laugh. Dems really don't give a crap about anything that isn't convenient for them. Not the constitution, not the lives of the unborn and not their own laws that they wrote. Basically they don't want to have follow any rules they don't like - even when they made them. What a joke this President and his **** policies have been.

Couldn't have picked a better thread for that statement.

I doubt if convenience had anything to do with it. What stands out to me is that no Dems in the legislature are the ACA guys. This whole thing is owned by Obama. In the past, no matter what the new law, it seemed that there would be a couple of House and/or Senate members who were the go-to people on that law. In fact, the law would always be named after some legislator. The ACA seems to be a legislative orphan. That's why it has Obama's name on it. The legislators were willing to pass it under WH pressure, but not to own it. That's probably why its implementation has been a disaster.

If you think shutting down government is how to govern, then you're no better than the Tea Party 'idiots' and those in the GOP who pandered to them.

It's a destructive tantrum.....no matter which party of incompetents use it as a tactic.

Yeah, much better to give the Government free rein to talk behind the scenes about how many millions will lose their insurance, then when America smelt what they dealt, start looking around at everyone else pretending it wasn't them.

There are many instances where Government action is far worse than government inaction. This rolling fiasco is simply our last best example.

Conversely, should expanded background checks and waiting periods for firearms be forced into law by shutting down government??

It's a bush league tactic.

L0L @ you thinking you're even the slightest bit credible where this topic is concerned.

Your party had eight years to fix the health care problem and didn't do jack sh*t.
