I applaud him for quitting the job that he didn't like.

You're applauding a man that quit on his teammates and an employer that saw enough in him to make a trade for him.

Will he be sorely missed by those teammates? Highly doubtful. But, the fact remains, if we didn't need/want his services, he wouldn't be holding a roster spot when there's only 53 to go around.

You go that incorrect. Someone was mad when they switched our city name to Lake Forest from El Toro. Barely won the vote. His slogan was this...
Lake Forest. Fake lakes, fake forests."

We have them, they just were either imported (forest over 100 years ago) or man made lakes for subdivisions.

We also don't have a super bowl trophy. Rob Johnson does have a superbowl ring and went to school here. Does that count?

It is a lot easier to quit when you are a fringe player anyways. Guy was drafted to be a player and never was and will always be known best for eating boogers at the combine and passing in the parking lot. Best wishes to Mr Moffitt.

Well...Good luck to that young man. Unless he's hiding something (as others have suggested), he no longer wants to go through the grind of football. It's more than just riding the bench. It's going to practice, team meetings, etc...

300k to practice and attend team meetings.?No wonder this guy quite. I'm sure there are tons of easier jobs out there which pay a lot more than that, that he is eminently qualified for.

Tanner from the Bad News Bears: "All we got on this team are a buncha *****, *****, *******, *******, and a booger-eatin' moron!"

And now we don't even have our moron.

I got the impression he just didn't want to fake it, and it wasn't fair to anyone else on the team if he did. I can respect that.
He heard that Jon Runyon is retiring from Congress and figured he could be the next OL/Representative?

I don't care if he quits but we traded for the guy 2 months ago and we lost Siliga and could have possibly traded him for someone that would be here.

We lost important depth, but Moffit wasn't really part of our championship plans...

I'm guessing Walton was coming back and he was going to get cut.

Kind of off topic but my HS weightlifting teacher turned down the NFL for beliefs and Bruce Allen pushed hard to get him to play. I have seen the guy rep 595 10 times on the bench. Here is a blast from the past and Kaylore might remember him.

Moffit was on a local Seattle radio station for a few hours today, just talking about his view of things.

Seemed like a very cool, mellow dude that just has his opinions about risking his body and whatnot. Respect to him for making the decision more about his long term health than a pay check.

Moffit has garnered more attention quitting the team than he'd have ever gotten staying on it.

Booooo-****ing-hoooooooo... 'I'm not loving football meetings and making lots of money anymore." What a quitter. Good luck making min. wage at a kiosk in a mall somewhere. You think most people wake up and say I just love what I'm doing. The lucky ones do, but most do not. The Kids in for a rude awakening. By the time he does his options will probably be limited. Very sad.
