Default We stop KC with rookie & 4th string DB

Webster and Jammer do a decent job against their scrub offense.......

Game ends on a very similar play to 97 playoff win in Arrowhead.

All in all with everybody down we did ok.............

Decker chews their scrub Cbs up.

What happened to Champ ?

If people want to dissect issues with the defense today I don't blame them—there are questions.

If anyone comes away from this win feeling negative because the Chiefs offense kept it close, though, I think they need to reevaluate how NFL rivalry games (on the road!) play out. This was an awesome win, full stop.

Well yeah I hear that. I am a glass half empty guy and so I have to say............not good enough against a real offense.

The Chiefs yes, most others no

I said in a thread earlier in the week that Sly didn't have to be a star for the Broncos to win. All he had to do was hold his own. That he did. Kudos to him.

This.

What's our record in games at Arrowhead? In Dec?

Yeah, the guys did okay. Nothing special, but he was good enough for the most part. Our defensive issues were more about defending stretch plays and screens. Good lord were we bad against those.

Agreed. Not sure why either. I think JDR may have adjusted to take away the deep pass, which was defended reasonably well. Of course it helps that thier wr's can't catch.

Either way, we should get healthy and get better on D, as we will need it.

Webster, a rookie, with his worst game of the year and yet D. Bowe had three catches for 56 yards in 7 targets. I can live with that.

Von needs to get in shape and we need to get more of a pass rush with our front 7. Alex Smith had a ton of time to throw all day.

Good point about Webster. He started his 1st game against the teams best WR. He did well enough, and will only get better. He is not my worry.

The overall health of the team is the only thing that concerns me at this point.
