I bet that's exactly what it was. Most of us have had them, they're scary if you never had one and you don't know what the hell it is. It is kind of funny that sometimes they come on when you're relaxing after a very stressful period. It's just a way that your body removes the stress.

I'm curious if maybe this could be something that would make JDR think about staying in Denver after the season. Fox is probably going to be fine, but just maybe he could be thinking (especially if we win a superbowl in the next 2 years) of retiring and taking it easy after a few more years. JDR could find himself him a real golden situation. I know that's a ton of looking ahead and speculation but it's still there all the same.

Get well John. I think between Gase, JDR, and PFM we'll be OK for a few weeks.

It didn't sound like it was all that serious earlier in the day.

Get well, John....get that taken care of and get healthy.

Just spoke with John Fox. He's having a procedure on his aortic valve on Tuesday in North Carolina. He will remain there for 2 weeks and miss about a month to 6 weeks

Fox was slated to have this procedure in the offseason but held off. Ironically, he flew to North Carolina during this weeks bye to meet w surgeon about a February procedure

@JayGlazer: Foxie said its something he knew he'd one day need but it deteriorated faster than they feared. Although he'll be away from team he'll still be involved

Del Rio would be interim HC, I presume.

Don't like Del Rio needing to concentrate on HC duties too. Would almost rather have Gase do it and let Peyton run the offense. Only kind of joking.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox is expected to have heart valve surgery this week that could sideline him for up to two months, according to a team official.

Fox could need one of two different types of surgery to correct the valve in his heart, per a source. The more severe one would be expected to sideline him two months. The less severe option would sideline him for a shorter period.

One person debriefed on the details believed this was not a condition to risk and considered surgery likely.

Fox also was aware that he had a condition with a heart valve that eventually would require surgery. He was hoping to avoid it until after this season but when he experienced light-headedness on the golf course, his timeline very well might have been expedited.

While Fox is away from the team, offensive coordinator Adam Gase and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio are expected to have added duties.

Patrick Smyth flat out lies to fans and led them to believe there was nothing there. Nice work PR kid.

My guess is that Del Rio will be interim HC. Now the question is, how much will this affect our overall play.

This crossed my mind at first, but then I thought of the Bruce Arians precedent and he was able to parlay that into a HC job. JDR could easily do the same with USC sniffing around.

Then again, I thought, screw all those first thoughts, let's just wish Fox gets well soon and the team wins a few for him.

And what's golden about the Broncos future? We are in win now mode. After Peyton, we are in trouble. This is a 4 or 5 win team with Twilight at the helm. Hopefully he jumps leaps and bounds between year two and three.

What a year it's been. Some oddball ****.

This team has had more drama surrounding it than a soap.

Get well John.

Hope it doesn't have the same affect that Sean Payton had being off the sidelines for the saints.
