Unfortunately, that was our own Wolf754Life yelling "Chump".

Not if we don't have an elite QB to replace him. Our cap number won't matter one way or the other in that case.

I wonder if Brock stays and how much $ he will command when his rookie deal is up.

Ya, he is probably done. Cover skills aside I am concerned with his tackling. Last week and this week he whiffed on a back getting to the edge. those were plays he used to eat up.

this idea that because champ got hurt his ****ing career is over is dumb. none of you have any idea, and I for one am not interested in counting hall of fame players out for no reason.

It was very sad to see him re-injure that foot. He's my boy, despite him not knowing me from Adam, haha. Hopefully we can get him a ring; this ones for Champ.

it was what...7 weeks of re-hab on the the foot since he first injured it, and that wasn't enough time. Tack on 8 weeks from now to re-hab, maybe we have him back for Houston and oakland, weeks 16 &17 (and playoffs).

Coming back next year, Champ will be 36, coming off of essentially a missed season, and a $10M cap-hit.

no, it's very possible he doesn't make the field this year and doesn't come back next season. It's a shame - he's been a favorite of mine for years.

He can't play anymore. Thats how it is with corners. Once they lose too much speed and agility they just can't get it done anymore. Bailey blew his chance to be a big part of a Superbowl team with his choke performance last yr in the playoffs. No one to blame but himself for not reaching the Superbowl. He had his good team, great QB, and he didn't get it done.

Elway should have had the balls to cut Bailey and use his cap money this yr to make the defense better. There were some good Cbs he could have signed.

I've never been champs biggest fan. Thought he rode his legacy a bit. its sad to see him go out like that. If he goes on IR is there anyone out there that could help us out?

Sad to say, the first thing I thought when he went down again was that's probably it for his season and maybe even his career - even if he can come back next year, I doubt he's in O&B.

Mark Haynes was elite when we got him from the Giants, but man did he fall off a cliff in a hurry! Couldnt run with anybody his last year here, and wasnt much better before that.

IDK if Champ can make it back to help this year, he was still pretty good for most of last year, and nobody stopped the Ravens Hail Mary offense.

Still, we all new this day was coming, was just hoping he could transition to Safety. We still suck at Safety so who knows.

I don't think he's physical enough anymore to play safety. I don't think he would hold up doing that at this point.

I would take a healthy but slower Champ over both our safeties. He can still tackle.

Yeah I would like to see him at safety. Unfortunately I doubt he'll restructure to the degree the team would like based on his production this season and anticipated seasons to come. They likely release him outright.

We could have made a run at that Rodgers-Cromartie guy.

If he's still playing backup to Manning, he won't be able to command much money. Hopefully, he can be an adequate heir apparent...

People are crazy if they think Bailey is going to play safety. He can't even stay on the field at CB. Broncos can use his cap money next yr to imrpove the team or resign key guys.
