Shannon Sharpe also left the Super Bowl with a sprained MCL to no critiques.
The same injury that Jay Cutler was, similarly to Lebron, widely assailed for not finishing the NFC Championship with.

I can't stand Lebron or the Heat. The gleeful piling on and manhood questioning by everyone really baffles me. Do you think he really did not want to play? Do you really think someone that reaches the echelon he has doesn't have the requisite competitive fire?

To question a professional athlete's pain tolerance and knowledge of his body's impaired performance limitations from your couch on Twitter is ludicrous.

And, yes, I thought the same thing when it happened to Culter.

The athletes most prone to whole-body cramping are those who have a relatively low body fat percentage, with a relatively high proportion of fast-twitch muscle fibers. All athletes who become dehydrated to the relatively modest amount of 2% of their total body weight during the course of a warm weather activity are at risk of developing muscle cramps.

If he had more time, maybe they could have given him an IV and he woulda been OK.

Similarly, Terrell Davis sat part of the super bowl with a migraine. Its just a headache, right? What a p***Y! Well, if you've ever had debilitating ocular migraines, you'd know you can't see.

These things are not dissimilar. I understand why people pile on LeBron and make the inevitable comparison to Jordan and Kobe, but this is a load a ****. This wasn't some cramp you get in your side while running around. hell, if they had a different word for these things, people might not be so critical.
Dude, why do you bother. These are some of the same guys that you hear crickets from after the Heat win a tittle.

He's been aggressive and missed shots he normally makes. It's been a quarter, calm down

I said it before, the Heat tend to sulk when the calls don't go their way.
LeBron is a great player.
But this has been clear for years and even more so now.
There is Michael Jordan and then everyone else falls in line. Hell, even Magic Johnson says it and he has been candid in the past about not wanting to cede the title of best in the game to Jordan way back when.

When people lock that elbow on him, like Kobe did in the all star game a couple years back, his 250lb body is weak as hell, he needs tight calls on blocking fouls, or he can't get momentum off dribble. Lebron doesn't have the skill set and strength people thinks he has. He's good at finishing, but he can't get in the air when people are on his hip.

They can.

They have back to back at home in Games 3-4.

Not a must-win.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Jordan wasn't the best. He was awesome. Seasons were over before they began. But my god he's become this myth that never missed shots, never got calls (he was the king if getting calls) and never had bad games. Nevermind the fact that he spent the first half of his career accused of being a chucker

We can agree to disagree on that. This is like when Jordan said "all you have to do is make him go left" or whatever

None of the 80s or early 90's superstars got the type of treatment players get today. Kobe did because he lasted so long but early in his career he had to shoot the jumper because you'd get mauled inside. You can't just get to the hoop and finish over and over again. NBA's removed so many defensive tools because they are "dirty" that perimeter players can dominate in the NBA with almost entirely inside scoring.

In that Allstar game in the 4th quarter, him and kobe were jawing at each other (obviously Kobe was talking ****, trying to piss him off) and the refs let them go at it ballpark style. Kobe pushed him around physically, he couldn't score and got blocked twice. Jordan would push Lebron around like a ragged doll. He's a locomotive when he gets going mainly because he's heavy and fast, but he's soft, and he's weak for all that muscle, Jordan would tug, push, claw, shove him all around the court in a half court set. Todays blocking fouls are ridiculously easy to pick up, and you can't even shove your elbow in on back to basket moves.
