And a ginobili who was an absolute unforced turnover machine. Not to mention an undersized Blair on the floor.

And even then it was more a collapse of the spurs than a statement win for the heat in that game 6.
Kawhi was really good in 2013. He was exceptional in 2014. It wasnt like he was a slouch the year before.

The real difference in this series was the Spurs insane shooting. 53 percent for the series and i think 46 from behind the arc (season averages were 39 3FG/48 FG). And during that three game blitz it was higher (60's for two games, 55 for the other). No one can keep THAT up. Regardless, the Spurs were the better team, no doubt. But i dunno that they are really 20 pts better every game. They just played exceptional, beautiful basketball and, for three games, they were historic.

And, come on, enough of the Spurs collapsed in game six, the heat did nothing narrative. The spurs didnt play great in that quarter, and the heat did...Ray Allen had a huge shot. It cuts both ways, that series was really tight, but you cant start playing that what if game.

Spurs up by 5 with 22 seconds left. Kawhi makes that free throw Miami doesn't win regardless of multiple desperate 3s. Pop with questionable decisions taking duncan out of defensive possesions. That's a collapse IMO.

As for how the spurs played, I watched that type of level all through the season(not quite as high for 3s) During that 19 game win streak they played lights out. Only injuries derailed their record. They could've won 70 if not for injuries and sitting players.

I'm just saying you gotta have a weakness somewhere given the cap.

Whether it's depth and a loaded top 4 players, or weak at one spot, even the Lakers during the 08-10 time had meh depth-guys with Fisher at PG.

Most people report LeBron wants the max, so if thats true, they gotta give somewhere.

I was talking a non-max star like Ariza/Deng/Gortat/Lowry then vets to fill out the roster but adding 3-4 depth-guys may be better than getting one of them.

And yeah, SA wasnt as good as they were this year in 13.

Mills didnt play.

Kawhi was only in his 2nd year.

Manu played like ass and was hurt.

Parker wasnt the same after Game 4 when he was clearly playing injured.

Among some other things, not the same team.

It's certainly fair to say SA collapsed.

SA hits their FT's, Miami doesnt win the title, pretty cut and dry.

Not playing Duncan, all-time GREAT REBOUNDER when one rebound wins them the title.

Miami was out of timeouts i believe at the time. So no set plays, in-bounds.

It wasnt a huge collapse but SA lost more than you guys won, Tang.

But it did. And they hit those shots, that were also improbable. **** happens. I watched Reggie Miller put up 7 pts in 8 seconds live. What can you do?

I agree, thats what they should do. And, of course they'll have their weaknesses, every team does.

Im not a friggin heat fan. I dont even care that much, but i feel like I have to constantly defend them (for the sake of argument) when people say ridiculous things.

And again, THE SPURS MADE MISTAKES. But the Heat capitalized on said mistakes. The heat friggin won the game and then took it to the Spurs in game seven.

And if someone missed a free throw deciding the difference in that 8 seconds id say its a collapse too. Wasn't there bad passes in that 8 seconds too?

Saying the spurs collapsed in that game 6 is a ridiculous thing to say?

I mean the spurs could've just purposely fouled in the final seconds so they would have to shoot 2 free throws instead of 3 points.

Thats what im saying. The Spurs (and the Knicks in Reggie's case) ****ed up and it gave the other team the opportunity to do the improbable, and they did.

Its not like Miami was awarded 4 pts because Kawhi missed a free throw.

All they had to do was foul on purpose and send them to the line to prevent a 3. Were just gonna have to agree to disagree on the end of that game. Worst I've seen pop coach was that 4th quarter. It all started being up by 10 and benching Parker and duncan early in that 4th, while continuing to put the ball in El Turnovers hands.

It was a terrible coaching job. And we agree that, no doubt, the spurs ****ed it up. But all the **** ups did was open an opportunity that Miami capitalized on. I dont see how these are mutually exclusive concepts.

im just messing with you to get under your skin

Yes, they did, but they make their FT's, hell if they just foul Miami before they shoot a 3, they might of won anyway.

SA did collapse, wasnt an insane one but SA did collapse.

Benching Parker/Duncan to start that quarter lost them that game/series.

Dallas could make it work. But Miami is doing everything their supposed to do to keep all 3, while bringing in bench and PG

I thought he had the highest salary on the team last year. He and bosh at 19M or so. It's not sole possesion, but it's tied at the highest.

Makes you wonder why teams can't bring in help if he's hasn't ever been solely highest paid.
