Default Think we will be running the football Sunday

We know they cant score with us so we will probably get a lead and use this game for practicing our running game, much like we saw us attempt against the Raiders at the end of that game.

I say......

We rush the ball at least 40 times for close to 250 team rush yards
Knowshon over 90 yds
Hillman rushes for over 60 yards
Montee Ball will get more than 10 carries
With Woodyard and Ayers likely being out I could see an spot open for CJ Anderson on the gameday squad knowing that they want to try the running game I think he will play for the first time and get a few carries

I'd say this is Ball's audition. They're going to run him like a chilean miner. It'll be nice to see what the kids got.

Plus running the ball keeps Mannings arm live for the postseason. Records are nice but I would love to see some wins where we only throw the ball 25 times, but still win easily.

With Ayers and Woodyard missing the game, maybe that will free up a spot for CJ Anderson to dress this week. Couldn't hurt getting him some action just in case a couple RB's go down during the season.

I still expect 300+ passing yards and 40+ points.

This a presumption.....made by you. This isn't you "knowing" they want to try the running game.

Part of me wouldn't be surprised if we got that I'm the first half and let Oz run the 2nd half.

He better react like a two tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs...the Chilean miners two tailed cat, that is.

I think Ball is getting ready for his breakout game. He has shown flashes and he runs hard and with authority. I say it's just a matter of time.

Denver's offense is up tempo. Hard to see Denver slow down the offense in order to run the ball

Denver will do what Denver does. Throw in a couple new wrinkles like the shovel pass to JT and score TDs

I say whatever Denver does is a vanilla offense. They probably still have a bunch of plays designed/different formations they have not used for those special moments (AKA Manning walk in TD). No sense in tipping your hand if you don't have too.

They will keep the killer instinct going, I hope!

it behooves us to start making early season investments in the running game. Come time for the playoffs we know the history on what happens to Peyton's arm in outdoor games. It would be wise to have 2-3 solid RB options to trot out there in case we need to grind one out on the ground.

You know the old saying: "A bird in the hand is worth a Chilean miner laughs best."

I think Peyton is in search of the perfect game. He doesn't care who the opponent is.

I think Moreno is going to get a lot of touches this week. This will be the week we see a ton of Carolina Fox.

while i agree on a possible focus on the running game, i won't be surprised one bit if peyton manages to throw 3 TDs or so

Why would people assume we throttle down in this game unless we are already up 42-3

It would be cool to CJ out there but with KM playing so well, and Hillman really getting some nice chunks on his touches, I'm just not sure we'll see CJ much this year.

Really, this could be a nice chance to rest KM. I know some fantasy guys won't dig that but this could be the perfect game to let him rest up. With his injuries in the past, I just think it's a good idea not to wear him down. I know we're spelling him with Hillman and Ball right now and his touches aren't insane. But if you did activate CJ to see what he could do, I think resting KM would be ideal, instead of having all 4 RB's active for this game, especially with Ayers and Woodyard out.
