Put it this way.

If the Jaguars were marching into Seattle this week ... or Indy ... or NOLA ... do you think they'd stand a remote chance?

I am a firm believer that any team stands a chance any week, even awful teams like the Chiefs manage to squeak a couple out here and there.

Anyway, I am just backing away from this thread before I am labeled either a glass half-empty guy or a bad fan or both.

I dont think anyone will say you're a bad fan, i think you're just being a worried fan. Which is natural, read any Mane game thread and you'll know you're not alone.

I dont think the Broncos take any game lightly. I do hope we're healthy though.

The way our D is playing right now. The amount of injuries we have. Repairing for Indy. This is going to remind us of a pre season game game. Yuck!

I think we go in fast and then start resting people in the second half. The only way the Jags even have a remote shot is if they use Henne instead of Gabbert. If they start Henne, we'll have to treat this as more of a normal game since they have two solid WR's in Shorts and Blackmon (Blackmon was out the first four games - they scored 20 points on the road when he came back). Add to that MJD could possibly go back to his old self for a game.

From the bettor's perspective, take Jax and the points all day.
Get your bet in before the line comes down - I expect Den to sit some dudes next Sunday which will make the game more competitive.

Denver's looking to get a win and no injuries. 28 is too high.

It has, but it usually much later in the season. If we we're up 3 games in the division or it was week 15 and the playoff picture was pretty well set, then I'd be much more nervous. If it was on the road, I might even have a small twinge of nervousness.

None of that is happening. This is going to be a curb-stomping.

The New England Patriots were favored by more than 20 points four times when they went 16-0 during the 2007 regular season, including a 24 1/2-point spread in a Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the largest spread for an NFL game involving a non-expansion team, and the Patriots pulled out a 31-28 win in the fourth quarter, matching their smallest margin of victory that season.

Just sayin...

The only things to worry about in this game are injuries and the Broncos making a bunch of mistakes to keep the Jags even in the game by the start of the 3rd quarter.

I'm on the Jags board. They literally do not care. AT ALL. Like not even wanting to hope. They are drooling over the QB prospects this year. There's even a conspiracy theory that they are playing Gabbert more because they feel Hene could make them lose the first overall pick.

The Jags fans here seem divided into 2 camps. 1 - bring in Tebow because TEBOW! and 2 - Blow for Bridgewater. I'd put it at 1/3rd Tebow, 2/3rds Bomb.

No, you're not. I'm slightly scared about the team walking this through and not giving it all because they expect to blow them out no matter what.

However, this is Peyton Manning. The offense won't walk through and just expect things to get done, they will get done.

The defense I'm hoping is pissed off from this past week and takes it upon themselves to shutout the Jags.

We'll go in for a couple of scores then commence fox ball. I predict even the water boy gets 20 yrds on 5 carries.

the defense has some pride to play for after getting torched and I don't think as a team they care who they're playing against. they'll score 40+ and it will depend on our defense wether they score more then 14 points.

Just a few days ago, the Jags traded Eugene Monroe to the Ravens. Yesterday, they lost Luke Joeckel to a season-ending injury. Bad timing.

On the other hand, they finally got Blackmon back from suspension and he looked good. He should also make Cecil Shorts more effective.

Gabbert has a hamstring injury - not sure if he'll play or not.
