Default 16-0

Im reluctant, but If I didn't start this thread someone else would have very soon. I hate to look ahead but, the schedule looks very favorable. Not to mention Peyton has a history of improving as the season goes on. And this D, not one mention about them this morning on the talk shows. If it weren't for all first downs the refs handed the Giants we would have won by 40.

It it were easy, even for the best team in the league, we'd see it happen more than twice since the AFL-NFL merger (Dolphins in 1972 and Pats in 2008).

Even if we're the best team in the league, and I think we are, there is always a best team in the league. We're looking at two perfect regular seasons in what, 50 years?

In 50 years, that's 48 'best teams' in the NFL that didn't do it....

If you use history as a guide and do the math... I'd give the Broncos about a 4% chance of going 16-0 this year.

I was waiting for this thread, hoping it wouldn't happen. But, unfortunately, it was inevitable. Just can't/shouldn't think this way 2 games into a very long season.

Please. During the patriots (near) perfect season, the undefeated talk began week 2, after they blew out the jets and someone else, putting up similar scores to the Broncos thus far this season.

I could easily see the broncos being undefeated at the bye week, but after that it gets a bit tougher. There's a stretch of games that goes - at home vs KC, @New England, @KC. I could easily see them dropping one of the road games, considering the Broncos' recent poor records @foxborough and @KC in december.

If they manage to make it through that, they still would have to go into Houston and take down the Texans, but if they're 14-0 at that point then who knows if the broncos will even want to risk playing starters the entire game.

I see our biggest test being the week 16 11am game @houston when we probably won't have anything to play for

Yeah, you have to account for that aspect as well. The 98 Broncos were 14-0 and they knew they had nothing to play for and it showed the following week.

We're going to miss Clady for several games. That means people in Manning's face. I tend to think until Champ, Miller and Clady get back, we are beatable. We're still a good team, but not 16-0 good.

Fans can think this way all they want. How is that going to have any effect on the outcome of the season? Do you really think our thoughts can influence the end result of a football game?

As long as the players themselves don't get complacent, what does it matter what a bunch of fat-asses sitting on their couches with bowls of Cheetos think?

Isn't the OP the same dick who was making up trade rumors last year and lying about having inside sources?

I'm pretty sure he was.

It will not happen because John Fox did NOT grow a pair in the off season.

Same old story...

16-0 is great and all, but not that great and all. I'll take a couple losses at the end of the season and before the playoffs. Seems to be the best medicine for teams to go into the post-season determined.

I think our biggest tests right now are at NE, at Houston and at KC. KC is KC, but they're a better KC this year and KC in December is a tough place to play. Its cold and loud and looks like a bag of condiment puke in there. Plus there stadium is stuck so far into the ground, you just feel that much closer to hell.

Ive heard this more than once, but I dont get the criticism. We can play conservative, but not overly conservative, which is what we did in the 4th the past two games.

Def beatable, but still better than most of our next opponents.
