He may have stopped trying too hard in his last year after Weaver refused to extend the contracts for any of his assistants and told him it was playoffs or else. He did make a lot of mistakes, but that came mostly from trying to succeed in a bad situation. As with most teams, if you can't get yourself a franchise QB, you're on a rough road. Hopefully, he's learned something from this stay in Denver where, it seems to me, he's done a pretty good job.

For the right guy, USC is a great job. I'd rather see Del Rio there than coaching against the Broncos, and he's too good to stay a coordinator.

JDR could be our next head coach. Honestly, It's hard for me to see Foxy coaching after this season, after having the type of procedure he had. Assuming Elway and company have had their discussions about the future of the team and Fox, Del Rio may have secured him a head coaching gig here in the near future.

Of course all this assuming, Fox hangs it up ( for health reasons ) after the year

As long as Fox heals up without complication, he's going to feel so much better than he did pre-op. I seriously doubt he retires over having his aortic valve replaced.

Agreed. Not only that, but he was planning on having the procedure once the season was over and then coming back next season. Circumstance made the surgery necessary now, but that shouldn't change his plans towards next season or his future as HC.

also, why worry about this situation now. There are 4 more regular season games and the playoffs to come. Let that all finish up before we worry about a possibility of Del Rio moving on next season.

How often do teams poach a coach from another team in the same conference? Gotta think that's incredibly rare.

My sarcasm meter is on the fritz, but I'm going to assume it should be going off right now.

Sarkisian was with SC for many years.
Hes an awesome coach, and will fit in perfectly in Socal.
He really was the best possible hire.

Good for us! JDR is a quality coach for us.

I wouldn't put too much blame on him for our defensive woes. **** ton of injuries are hard to overcome.

Throughout the season we have lost a lot of our starters.

Von
Champ
Woodyard
DRC
Vickerson
Moore
Nacho
Harris

List is quite painful to see.

And since he was still in the hospital as of yesterday it's hard to see him playing again this week.

Right. His recent issues slipped my mind.

Man, we have to be one of the most injured teams in the NFL.

U$C made a great hire! picked a worse pac-12 coach than Kiffin.

Quote:
Washington's Steve Sarkisian, has a lower career Pac-12 winning percentage (.539) than the guy Haden fired (.586)?
Four straight 5-4 PAC-12 seasons.

I expect UCLA to continue to dominate these clowns.

If he recruits like he did under Carroll and his game plan works with better players than Washington, keep wishing it. I think it is a lateral move but it sure isn't a downswing. Sark knows LA and you should be a tad worried about it. Losing Coach O sucks big time, though.
