redskins are just terrible. we used to think shanahans denver defenses were the worst in history, but his redskins D this year is putting the ones he had here to shame.

Is it just me or was Shanahan born to wear that logo. Put a wig on him and he IS that logo.

Shanny better get things turned around quickly or Snyder will go all knee-jerk on him. I'm not sure where the disconnect is between RGIII and Shanny but something is definitely wrong.

I was highly critical of Shanny for playing RGIII last year with a bad knee. I stand by my opinion because the overall bad effects of that injury are rearing it's ugly head right now.

Shanny is an ego monster and all his mistakes are his own. However, if he wants to turn this team around he might want to consider starting Cousins and let RG3 sit on the bench and think about who is really in charge of the team.

Will always be happy that Shanahan helped bring Denver two titles - but a part of me thinks that we are seeing the end of his head coaching career at age 61 - who would pick him up if Washington fires him at the end of a disastrous 3-13 season this year?

Yeah...RGIII it appears can't plant his back leg to throw. He shouldn't be in there right now at all, but dip**** is going to run him into the ground.

If RG3 really is still injured then Shanny should sit him until he's fully recovered.

He should have never started the season. Kirk Cousins should have been the man from OTA's to start of TC. Dumbass coach.

Exactly and since RG3 can't do what makes him ..well him....and the offense go...Cousins is better suited to start at this time.

You know I used to think it was really cool that Shanahan sent TD in while he couldn't see to fool the defense. As I've gotten older I realize it was reckless and stupid. It all worked out, but I am glad he no longer coaches his brand here.

I tend to agree on RGIII and his lack of mobility and general rust being a general issue.

That said, low and behold we have another anemic looking defense from Shanahan. Soon Haslett will be fired and if Bob Slowik is promoted, that will probably be the end of Shanahan being a head coach of anything in the NFL anymore. Perhaps he will go back to being an offensive coordinator.
