Default Who would you trade for to help the team win now?

I was reading a few Twitter feeds the other day that stated the Broncos had inquired about trading for Joe Thomas of the Cleveland Browns. Given Clady's injury, it is understandable that they would be interested in adding a great piece to ensure some OL stability moving forward. Made me wonder what player(s) you would be interested in trading 2014 picks for in order to win now?

“I believe the safest pick in the draft—beyond Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III—is Alabama running back Trent Richardson. He’s a blue-chip player and has all the skills to quickly establish himself as a top-five player at his position. Forget the nonsense about not taking backs early—everyone would love the chance to get this guy.”

—Mike Lombardi, current Cleveland GM and former NFL.com columnist and NFL Network analyst, writing on NFL.com on April 23, 2012, three days before Richardson was picked third overall in the draft by the Browns

Honestly, I am not sure trading for anyone right now is in the best interest of winning now versus winning later. This scheme on offense is pretty well set and the only thing we need on defense is depth and maybe another pass rusher which might be on the team already.

No one is going to trade an ELITE LT at this point in the season IMHO. So, that means hold the course for me.

Shut up!

Joe Thomas or Matt Kalil. Clady being out scares the hell out of me....and Peyton. And I don't believe the OP is saying it will or even should happen.

I'd like to see an upgrade at LG. Beadles is good on the move, especially when pulling, but he gets overpowered easily otherwise. though we might have a replacement on the roster already if Kuper is 100%.

Outside of a LT the only position I can think of that I would willingly trade away picks for, for an immediate upgrade is RB. And I don't think it is that necessary. Moreno is looking the best he ever has for the team, and Ball is going to become more and more comfortable and will be logging substantial game time as the season progresses.

This team has a good blend of superstar talent like Manning and Miller....some up and coming players like Woodyard, Moore, and Harris, some players with something to prove like Moreno and DRC, and role players who provide us with very solid depth.....

right now we're #1 vs. the run, and are #1 in total offense, passing yards and scoring....our running game was better in week 2 than week 1....our pass defense is ranked 32nd, but then again our opponents are throwing 50 times a game and playing catch up midway thru the 3rd qtr.

We just need to get our players healthy and at least one of them needs to get his head out of his ass.....yeah I'm talking to you Von Miller.

Thomas would not guarantee anything. It would be tons of money tied to one position. Denver needs another pass rusher even more not interested in blowing future to win now.

@AdamSchefter: Cleveland fielding offers for and open to trading WRs Josh Gordon and Greg Little. At least one team has made a quality offer for Gordon.

-posted b4 his performance yesterday.

Denver should trade for him and just chuck it all day.

While we're doing a good job with our linebackers...

I'd go for Luke Kuechly.

Who's the best best pass rusher on the Brown's? I'd like him please. Its not that I don't like Von but we are looking at the next time he gets caught its a one year ban plus all the cap space we will have wasted. Phillips has only signed a one year deal. Slash needs to get on the phone now to see what other low hanging fruit is left on the Brown's team.

Since we're talking merely hypotheticals.....I'd give up the entire 2014 draft for JJ Watt.

Let's trade Eric Decker to the Vikings for Adrian Peterson and a seventh round pick.

yeah, that's a great idea, trade a receiver who in this offense is good for 80 catches, double digit TDs, 1000+ receiving yards and is a part of making one of the biggest mismatches in the league. I don't get the trade Decker or let Decker walk talk on this board. With Decker we have an incredible 3-Headed monster attack at the WR position, add in JT finally coming on and we field a receiving corps that is near impossible to cover.

sure he has his off games, and occasionally drops easy passes, but he is overall a damn good player for this team.

As long as they throw in their left tackle, whoever that is.
