I wouldn't take a desperate and prideful bunch of NFL players lightly... In fact, if I were Jax, I would LOVE to play spoiler...

Good thing Manning won't.... Now the Defense, ugh....

This is the one game we really missed Von, for the most part Romo had all day to throw.

Horrible defensive effort, but what the hell do you expect when you're for the most part playing your second and third string DBs against a passing team?

Add in a Cowboys O that was on fire, and this is pretty much what you'd expect.

I think the loss of Champ was felt as much as Von.

While we're all appalled by the effort our defense gave today, we also need to realize prior to today Romo had completed 72% of his passes, and 8 TD's vs. 1 INT....so it's not like he has been pedestrian this season. He's actually played very well to date.

Consider ourselves lucky our QB and offense is better than Romo and the Cowboys offense

Romo moved around a bit, DRC was looking back at Romo and Bryant turned it up field.

So naturally its bad coaching and not a busted coverage to blame.

The pass rush has been a weakness all season, not just today.

Almost every sack that has been made all season has been due to a coverage situation and not a d-lineman beating his man and making the play. This was made painfully aware as Romo danced through and around our DL while making plays to his targets. It was pretty humiliating.

Our pass rush is horrible, plain and simple. While Von can cetaintly help it, he can't fix it by himself. There isn't a player on this team that has shown he can consistently beat even a 1-1 matchup to get to the QB. Until someone does that, just having Von back won't fix much.

This D is counting on un-proven guys to get the QB in Ayers, Wolfe and Jackson. Phillips was a commodity years ago, but since week 1 has clearly regressed and isn't what he once was. Outside of Miller, it's really a hopeless group IRT getting to the passer.

I think he's the exception to that rule.

They may be going with Chad Henne now unfortunately.

I told him to put "run" in front of defense in the thread title. Ony 52 on the ground again today, sure to keep us at the top of the league in run defense for another week.

Thankfully it doesn't really matter when the offense scores 51 but Von is missed.
I'm just curious, what team has a D line that CONSISTANTLY beats every O line in the league? I mean it's an absurd expectation right?

The better defenses in the league. Denvers DL were getting man handled most of the game today. It was crazy at the time Romo had on a lot of those throws.

This isn't even true until the latter part of the game. And Adrian Robinson was rushing the passer at that point. You know what the broncos could use though? The runner up d player of the year last year...hmmm where can we get him from

"During his suspension, linebacker Von Miller has been working out privately with noted pass-rush specialist Chuck Smith. "I've never seen Von Miller have a trainer before," Harris said. "He usually goes with the God-given ability he has. Now that he has a trainer, it's scary." Miller's suspension will be lifted first thing Monday morning"

Anyone else feel a little sorry for Luck? 6 weeks of pent up aggression and no weed to calm himself. Von is going to beast on Indy. Add in he got himself a trainer to ger better and has gotten stronger.

Luck is probably the calmest QB I've seen play in awhile. From his first days in college to last years rookie season. Luck has been cool hand luke.
