Are you serious? Von directly compromised the testing process. His issues are just as serious if not worse than Aldon Smith. You are just being a homer if you thnk the NFL is just focusing on him.

Maybe in the fact Miller compromised the nfl testing policy, but other than that Smith's DUI's are way more serious. No homer in this post, the ramafication of Smiths actions can be life changing to many innocent people's lives, with his dumb ass decision to drive drunk! Von on the other hand, though a dumb ass himself, is not endangering innocent lives.

I'm going to go ahead and say Von is lucky to have only gotten 6 games if this was the case. Seriously, Elway and Manning must have called in some favors on that ruling.

So is he in the stage where his next positive test is a yearlong suspension or not?

Just a thought: perhaps having a 25 year old (who has the maturity of a 14 year old) living in Miami for the off season isn't the best idea? His six game suspension has cost him a couple several hundred thousand......maybe someone could discuss the possibly of him living in a little less tempting enviro.....?

Smoking pot isn't where the advantage would have been gained....and I agree he shouldn't be "cut" (I reserve that for felonies like assault, murder, rape, drug running, etc.)

Von Miller is a premier pass rusher in the NFL...quite possibly the best as we type. His being suspended puts the Broncos at a disadvantage as their defense is lacking arguably their biggest play maker if not their best player.

So now, if losing him put's the Broncos at a disadvantage, by logic the Broncos would have an unfair advantage if a player who should have been suspended isn't suspended because of a phony urine sample being submitted.

His being on the field is the advantage......just as his not being on the field is a disadvantage. Dude needs to keep his nose clean and get his head out of his ass. The only reason why more aren't concerned is because the suspension was only 6 games, and the Broncos are winning...but if we lose our next 4 games due to lack of a serious pass rush, I doubt those defending his actions would keep defending him.

Now imagine if he gets busted again and is gone for an entire season during what is arguably our best opportunity to win a SB?

Yeah, how come noone is making a bigger deal of Aldon Smith's case?

DUI (number 2) at 7am on a weekday!?

And he had weed on him.

Ok so you are a total homer. Good to know.

You have no clue if Von didn't drive drunk, he just may have not been caught. Judging by his decision making I suspect he probably did.

Nobody is saying Von's problems >> Aldon's problems. However there is more attention being paid to Von's screw ups because -

[] This is a Broncos message board

[] Von plays for the Broncos

[] We're Broncos fans

If Goodell is the big azz hole most on here think, Aldon's judgement day is coming.

Not sure if you know this, but Von is a Denver Bronco...Aldon Smith is a SF 49er. Perhaps if you peruse a SF 49ers board you'll find out if Aldon's vices are a big deal.....

This doesn't change things........but it does give us just 1 more reason to think Von has more rocks between the ears then brain matter. I mean, he isn't even smart enough to be in the same city where the sample is being given?

I think if you chained Von to a tree and you put the key in his pocket, you could go back the next day and he would still be there. Love the guy but he's one dumb dude.

manipulating a drug test is in no way as serious as multiple duis/a guy getting shot at a party. they are both worthy of suspension, but come on.

He'll only have like 300 chances per year for the rest of his career to screw up a piss test. Statistically it's improbable that he will avoid a year-long ban hammer.

What's crazy is how Von convinced all his teammates that he did nothing wrong.

True. I don't even think we've really covered that angle much at all. I wonder if any of the guys sorta feel betrayed a little bit about how he lied to them to cover it up. If he even did that. We don't really know what he told them behind closed doors. He could have told them the truth and then as players do they stay tongue tied about it. Then again he could have lied to them. That's a pretty big deal. I would be curious to know if that occurred or not. Not just the players but the coaches. What did he tell his own coaches. He's probably lost the trust of quite a few people there in the FO as well as players.

I am talking in reference to his post about the NFL focusing on him "more" than Aldon Smith.

got it. I still will disagree with it being a bigger deal (or tantamount to Smith's deal) because the nfl has been through this dui thing with much worse consequences than a pothead balling.
