Default Victor Cruz VS Chris Harris

Going to be a lot of great battles there. Hopefully, Champ will be back otherwise it will be Victor Cruz vs Tony Carter.

I actually like Carter on Cruz a whole lot. Cruz is a smaller WR and Carter won't get man handled. He can stick to almost anybody. His only problem is the bigger WR's just out jump him and out muscle him. I think Harris would do an awesome job as well. I think we're totally fine there. With Champ back, DRC, Harris and Carter, I like our CB play. We've got size and speed with DRC. We've got the quick sticky guy in Carter. We've got a savy guy in Harris who has a nose for the ball. And obviously we know what Champ gives you when healthy. Lost a step but can still shut down many good WR's that don't have blazing speed.

Tony Carter had 4 pass break-ups vs. Ravens....a career high for a single game by him.

Not too worried. Cruz might get us with one like he tends to do. But based on week 1, we should really annihilate the Giants.

Harris should keep Cruz in check, Harris is a stud

Hopefully champ gets back because Randle is the one who could do work against Carter if Champ isnt back

Why would you say that? They're going to do what they did last year and last Thursday. In 3WR Tony comes in to cover outside guy and Harris moves to cover the slot.

If the Giants turn the ball over 6 times, we win by 1 million points.

This is a team that turned the ball over 6 times on the road and only lost by six. They scored 4 TD's, sacked a mobile QB twice and hit him 6 times and probably bruised his ribs.

They aren't just going to lay down to us at home.

One good thing is they don't seem to have any kind of a running game, which will help get Manning on the field more. We're in for a dog fight. At least Amani Toomer isn't there to break our hearts at the last minute like in 1998 and 2005.

That might mean something if the Cowboys hadn't looked like trash.

best slot receiver in the league plays in Denver. Cruz is good, but he isn't the best.

No Tito Paul either!

I agree though, the giants are gonna be a tough out in their home opener. Obviously there will be plays to be had and if we play smart (no dumb turnovers, minimal missed assignments, we shoujd be fine

Giants turn the ball over 6 times and Peyton might just break the record he just tied.

While I think we will beat the Giants, I wouldn't write them off like most of you.

It's only Week 1 in the NFL. Teams are still getting adjusted...and Giants were 1 drive away from winning on the road after a record setting amount of turnovers.

They will be at home next week, and I would expect a good game. Both teams will have things to fix and adjustments to make.

Cruz vs Harris will be a good match up...while Cruz has speed on Harris...Harris has physicality over Cruz. However, Eli and Cruz have a lot of chemistry, so I wouldn't expect Cruz to get shut down. As he gets moved around in the offense, I expect Broncos to have multiple corners on him throughout the game.

Where do you get that he gave up 100 yards?

And he's probably targeted the most because he's the shortest. Tony Carter is pretty much attached to the WR every time he's thrown at.

Only 2 passes I can remember him give up was the one to Torey Smith in the 1st near the goal line...he was playing a safe coverage and was lined way off Smith and Flacco just threw it to Smith at the snap.

The other one was when Marlon Brown ran across the middle of the field and Carter was chasing him from behind. Not sure what happened there.

Carter would be a great match up for Cruz if he lines up on the outside...not in slot. Cruz wouldn't have a huge height differential and Carter is used to covering much taller and faster WRs all day...so to have someone short as Cruz would definitely play in Carters hand.
