If we could get a 3rd for Moreno and then go sign Hester that wouldn't be a bad scenario.

Hester does the same thing Moreno does.

I think everyone would agree with that. Too bad Indy wouldn't go that high.

Dangle a conditional pick based on KM's performance...

wait,,,

maybe just ask for a 7th and call it good.

KM is walking at the end of the year, he is nothing more than insurance at this point. If we were to get anything for him it would be a plus. Too bad Ball is not close enough and Hillman hasn't proved he can hold on to the football...

One can dream, one can dream

I can see it now:

We trade Moreno for a 5th round pick, and everyone cheers. Then by the end of the season Hillman and CJ go down to injuries and we are left with one back, and everyone b****es about the trade.

Secondly, has he ever carried the load as a full time RB, that is 20-25 rushes a game for 16 games?

Has he really played for any coach who uses one bell cow RB? McDaniels used RBBC as does Fox.....however last season he had at least 20 carries in 5 of his 6 starts - he had 5 consecutive games of 20...20...32...21...22...and he had 15 carries in the KC game

Thirdly, the Broncos drafted Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman for a reason.

Yes, they drafted Hillman as insurance in case Moreno couldn't come back from his knee injury the previous season, and they drafted Montee to replace McGahee...neither of those events mean that Knowshon is gonna be trade bait

Fourthly, if CJ Anderson pans out then there's absolutely no reason to keep Moreno and now might be the absolute best time to trade him before releasing him.

Moreno's competition is a 2nd year RB who had preseason fumbling issues, a rookie who hasn't proven himself yet, and a RB who ran wild over guys who are now selling cell phones and insurance....surely you jest.

If the Colts made me any kind of decent trade offer I'd probably say yes.

I doubt I'd do any better than you would as the Broncos GM, which makes me glad neither of us is in charge of the team

And what are the odds that a 4th round pick will pan out? You can't ruin the depth at an injury prone position during a Super Bowl run for a crap pick. 4th rounders turn out to be garbage most of the time.

What is to say KM would help anymore in the SB than he did in the Divisional game last year?

Another couple weeks and he won't be dressing again until someone else goes down.

The thing we are forgetting is would Indy even want him?

I don't think he sucks ass myself. He blocks very well, is a good receiver, doesn't fumble much and is a tough runner. Maybe if the Broncos run blocking didn't suck so much ass, he could be an effective runner. The broncos run blocking has been awful for a while now.

Moreno is the best blocking and receiving RB on the roster. That makes him the most useful RB on the roster. He's especially valuable while Ball gets up to speed. Trading him at this point would be stupid. He's the best at keeping Manning healthy that we have on the roster.

We should re-sign Hester and then trade him for Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton. We'd obv have to throw in a conditional 6th or 7th.

He is the most complete back on the roster.

I don't know why people are ridiculing this thread. The Colt's owner himself says they are going to burn up the line to trade for a RB. Denver has 3 RBs all about the same level. Denver would be stupid not to listen to all offers. Now whether they want to accept any of them is an entirely different story.

the colts owner is a total drunkard who can't even be mark cuban right. the GM isn't listening to his poorly worded twitter rants, of which there are about ten a day

wow, I'm not sure how many different ways I can say the same thing to you: you trade Moreno if he price is right. I think that is a 4th round or higher but I seriously doubt the Colts would give that up for Moreno because he's simply not worth that much. This should tell you how subpar Moreno is. If the Broncos traded Moreno they can bring back Hester. Also, M. Ball is not going to get any better if he's not playing, he and Hillman need to get more snaps.

Clearly pass protection has limited importance in the Broncos' offense. Probably not at all a factor in the decision to start Moreno against the Ravens. They probably just drew straws on the sideline before the game.

news flash. the nfl doesnt hand out 2nd 3rd or even 4th round picks for a mediocre running back on the last year of his contract. if we were to trade him i doubt wed get much more than a conditional sixth which isnt worth it on our end.

IOAFM said it best just a few days ago. moreno is our kevin faulk. "he plays winning football"
