This.

People need to stop discussing trading our starters regardless of how little they like them

I wouldn't give up any of our RB's. We need the depth. Where do I draw the line? I'd want a 1st or a 2nd and a 3rd. Anything less than that and I say keep them all we need them!

I'd be more inclined to trade our future picks for solid players that might contribute immediately rather than the other way around at this point! Super Bowl or bust!

Peyton says no, no, & hell no to helping the Colts in any way, shape, or form. So that is the end of that.

He's not...but he's a solid contributor who has proven he can keep the key (Manning) from getting a broken neck on a blitz............

Lol at the people that want to trade our only runner that can currently be counted on to pass protect, to a contender no less, for a low round pick

If he picks up a blitzer who is about to end Manning's season he would be.

you don't draft a RB in the first round because he's a great blocker. You draft a RB in the first round because he's a great rusher and he helps the team win games. Moreno is an average RB at best. If the Broncos can trade him for a 4th round pick or better, do it. Do it in a heartbeat.

Two points:

a.) The Colts probably wouldn't give up anything more than a 5th or 6th rounder for KM.
b.) It would asinine to trade the only veteran RB on the roster in a SB contending year and roll with untested rookie, a 2nd year with fumbling concerns scatback and UDFA whose only accomplishment of note thus far is a decent half against 3rd stringers in preseason.

Not going to happen.

Huh, what the **** does his draft position have to do with the argument You want to trade our current starting running back to a contender for a 4th round pick.

Thank god you're not in charge

We get it, you hate the guy.....but Fox and Manning and Elway seem to like him, or at the least tolerate him.

Moreno has been nothing but a stand up guy...he's not whined or b****ed about his role on the team. He's not a selfish player.....and has performed adequately when called upon for the most part.

Sure he's been sidelined by injuries, it happens.....but his value to the team as far as pass protector for Manning, pass receiver, and decent RB is worth more than what I think the Colts would even consider to part with....but then again everyone has their price.

Moreno isn't going to push the Colts into the SB dude. He's not that good. The point is Moreno has not lived up to his draft status so you cut your losses and try to get something in return before you release him for nada.

You are right about that. But it's so strange that people here seem to think Moreno is key to winning a championship. Yet the Broncos couldn't even get a 4th round pick for said key?

does not compute.

OK you just said he's not lived up to his draft status....he's average at best.....he won't help anyone get to the SB, let alone win one.....and that he's not that good, period.

If your assessment of him is accurate, then why would anyone trade for him at all? They'll just wait until he gets released or becomes a free agent at end of his contract and keep their draft picks.

We need the depth and pass protection he provides more than the low round pick we would get for him. That draft pick offers nothing to this team now, and now is what is important to this team. Does that compute?

If the price is right, you trade him. This is why I said I'd take a 4th round pick or better. And I was being generous.

Moreno is out of the question, he blocks and catches to well.

First of all, KM can't even stay healthy. Secondly, has he ever carried the load as a full time RB, that is 20-25 rushes a game for 16 games? Thirdly, the Broncos drafted Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman for a reason. Fourthly, if CJ Anderson pans out then there's absolutely no reason to keep Moreno and now might be the absolute best time to trade him before releasing him.

If the Colts made me any kind of decent trade offer I'd probably say yes.
