I was surprised the Hawks didn't sweep the Wild, I didn't think they were anywhere near the class of the Hawks but at home I guess anything can happen.

Nice to see Chicago as a hockey town.

The funny thing is that if old man Wirtz was still alive he would have traded both Toews and Kane away for chump change and 6 bad players who wouldn't make the following season's roster.

The best thing to happen for Hockey in Chicago was Rocky getting ownership!

Go Hawks!

Hawks had a couple bad hits like this over the last 2 series. I thought it was more of a payback type hit. I am kind of glad to see the Hawks being more physical they need to be more careful but they are not backing down from hits.

The most disappointing part about the Avs loss is what I have said before...that if we were fully healthy or even had just a couple of the guys we were missing we win that series in 4 or 5 games. Keep in mind, all four of our losses were by 1 goal. Nobody can convince me Duchene, Tanguay, Mitchell, Barrie, Sarich, and a healthy Hjeda don't make a 1 goal difference in each of those games. And seeing how close Minnesota was to maybe winning this series against Chicago it made me realize we could have made a run at the cup if healthy. A damn shame.

Wild are a joke. This is who they are...barely crack the playoffs and get eliminated immediately or get a lucky draw against an injury depleted team and win a series by the hair on their chinny chin chin. Nothing more.

24champ really pulling for your Kings. Although I inevitably have to root against them next round, I'll take Chicago on 5 plus days rest with home ice advantage.

OMG Montreal is going to upset Boston in Game 7.

That was the best team in the playoffs.....didn't expect that.

Bettman must be very happy. The 3 largest US metro areas and Canada (so to speak) for the conference finals = max TV ratings.

They're prolly the favorite now....although they have looked vulnerable.

I really don't want to see them win yet again....im in the uncomfortable position of rooting for LA or Anaheim to beat them.

I'll definitely be rooting for the Eastern conference in the finals. Montreal would be a dream, but I actually like seeing the Rangers win too. MSG is such a cool place when a team is in a championship series.

How can you hate the Hawks already?

Toews is a great guy who is a natural leader.

Kaner has shown flashes of being a punk off the ice but has cleaned it up recently.

Sharp is a great guy.

Hosa has ramped it up and is fun to watch.

Saad has speed and is part of a young core of quality depth.

Crawford is their 2nd Cup winning goalie in 4 years.

It is not like they are Detroit, we suffered under old man Wirtz for way too long. He wouldn't televise home games for crying out loud, then he traded away every star like kFc does when ever a player got good.

I love the tempo that the Hawks play at and the puck control and passing are light years above anything the Hawks managed before drafting Toews and Kane.

Ok. Silly question. Is the NHL like the NFL where you win the SB and keep the trophy forever and they make another for the next champ? Or is it one Stanley Cup passed along year after year with updated names on the rings of the cup?

They have an excellent team and good coach, I don't hate any of the players, although the whole Captain Serious thing is lame. I rooted for Chicago against Philly and Boston, but I'm tired of them winning Cups.

Its just the one Cup. The winning team keeps it for awhile, the players get to spend some time with it, and then it goes up to the HOF I believe until the next winner. When they run out of room for names they take the oldest band off and put on a new one. The ones they remove go onto replica cups if I'm not mistaken

Right on. Though I thought it just grew new bands.

A lot of people seem to think that. Always thought the concept behind the Cup was brilliant. A single trophy passed down through the years with all that history engraved on it. Pretty cool IMHO

Kinda makes the Lombardi, and other trophies, look lame in comparison.

Let us go back to back and then have Toews pictured dressed like below before hating:
