Holy ****ing balls that was awesome. How the Avs managed to stop the wild from scoring the empty net and the score is crazy

Who wants to bet that teams will start copying Roy with pulling the goalie and practicing it?

Terrible officiating. Coyle was absolutely mugged. Game should be over.

Also on one of the goals the Avs were at least 2 ft offsides and the refs ignored it. Watch the tape.

This game is a joke.

That call on Landeskog was BS but it is a rule and was called in pre-season and has been all playoff long.

I told you Barrie going down hurt. Just because he is not a star does not lessen the impact of him on our team.

On the plus side we went defense crazy in the last draft and will likely focus on it again this upcoming draft.
So it should get fixed fairly soon.

What the **** ever. Minnesota is getting away with a ton of take downs, holds and they slashed to break a stick with no call.

Yeah BS. All the critical calls have blatently went the Avs way. The Wild have kicked the Avs up and down the ice and without the Refs help this game is over.

Neither of these teams can beat Chicago 4 times.

Suck it hater. Avs won the game and deserved to win.
Damn refs and thug ass Wild.

Edit: I realize I let my fandom get the better of me with the suck it comment.
But I stand by my assertion that the better team won.

I agree...the Avs can at least skate with them.

That has got to suck for the Wild. Roy has used that twice in this series. In prior years watching hockey I remember the extra skater scenario working maybe twice. But to have it happen twice in this series is incredible. You have got to love the speed of the Avs. Older and slower teams couldn't realistically pull the goalie that early without giving up the empty netter. The Avs have the speed to get back to the loose puck before a good shot on net can be made.

It also helped that the refs swallowed the whistle on that hold. Nathan Mackinnon has gone into God mode. That kid has unreal speed and composure.

Shut up. You probably were loving when your dirty ass goon took out the Avs players knees. I never knew Wild fans had a fan base full of this many b****es.

Playoffs are a different beast. If we can move on it's going to hurt losing a top defenseman because of a dirty ass little Wild team.

Man alive I want to see Mac with Duchene in the playoffs.
He is not playing like a rookie at all. I would like to see him push more frequently.
When he just goes and pushes the pace the Wild have no answer for him and try to mug him but cannot keep pace with him.

I don't expect the Av's to get past next round (if they can finish off Minnesota...a big if) but gaining playoff experience, and some of their rookie defenseman making the jump to Colorado next year, things are looking bright.

MacKinnon has played so well that you actually forget he is only 18. He looks like a veteran on the ice. The only other guys I have seen take to the pro game as quickly and as well as he has were Ovechkin and Crosby. I love the young core this team has put in place.

They also owned the Wild in the regular season and have had an extremely difficult time with them all series long and could easily have been eliminated tonight but for empty net heroics twice now.

Colorado, like Pittsburgh, is living on borrowed time.
