Thought we had good energy in the 1st. That 1st goal was demoralizing.

They're at 312 so far. That's only folks who have clear DNA evidence to exonerate them. There are no question a whole host of people with no such luxury currently in jail. Our "justice" system is absolutely no question broken.

While 312 is unfortunate, its a drop in the bucket. How many guilty walk free. I get my opinion is not a very popular one and I do appreciate the link(I'll check it out later) I'm ready to drop the subject because we'll never know exactly what happened. Arguing over it any further is pointless.

Not a fan of the shoot out lineup outside of Duchene. My picks would be:

1. Duchene
2. Mac
3. Landy

Don't know if I would have Mac #2. He's not ready for that just yet.

Roy says he picks the shooters who do best in practice shootouts. Makes sense to me. Both O'Reilly and PAP have scored game winning shootout goals recently.

I've only seen the past 2 shootouts and they barely deked or faked the goalie at all in both.

What a crazy game tonight. 3 goals scored in the last 2 minutes. Would have been nice to get that extra point. Avs have been terrible in the shoot out.

Ducks ducks and more Ducks. 9 wins in a row including 4 on the road to take out Red Wings, Devils, Islanders and now Capitals with a 3 to 2 win.

Pascal Dupuis is probably out for the year. Injury situation is getting beyond ridiculous. The only positive from this is when Bennett returns from injury in late January, it will force the coaches to play him with Sid, which should have been the case a long time ago.

Congrats to Paul Martin and Brooks Orpik for making Team USA.

Thought Scuderi would be a more deserving choice than Orpik.

its absolutely ****ing disgusting.

Looks like they had to dig pretty deep to fill out that roster. Verbeek? Drake? Seriously, GMAFB. But they did get quite a few of the all-time choke team out there

Read this Burnside piece on the how the GM's came to picking the players for Team USA. Pretty interesting read and interesting quotes.

Pretty sorry hockey, all in all. The scene more than made up for it, but the actual quality of the hockey was not compelling.
