Yeah I forgot how the it worked. Its been almost six years since I paid attention to hockey. I worked nights for eight years so I missed a lot and I was pissed cause the lockouts

I have also liked what I have seen from Malone. Strong along the boards. Good defensively.

I do have to mention... are we playing in Chicago cripes..

I missed the Florida game first one of the season and didn't know we had lost Duchene.

Good to see opposing fans not being Detroit trollish

Great slump busting game. Definetly filled a Gracie prescription.

Well definitely see. We play some tough division opponents the next couple games. Well continue to see how we measure up

Got a win the other night vs. Anaheim but our offense is still in a funk and DB's line combos are horrific.

Avalanche beat Chicago 5-1 and not a peep?!? You guys are slipping.

In other news, Rask single handedly stole another one vs the Rangers last night. He's going to be in their nightmares for a long time after that performance.

Great win for the Avs, breaking a slump against a great team with their best player out. Good to see they still play well against the Hawks now that they are in the same division.

Two things I want to see from the Roy coached team to remove all doubt he is a far better coach than Sacco (even if that seems obvious at this point): How the team responds to slumps and how they perform against division opponents with whom the players and coaches have all become mutually familiar. Sacco's teams responded by slipping further into slumps and they were repeatedly owned by the divisional teams they were most familiar with. Sample size is still far too small but so far so good for Roy.

I haven't seen the pens play as poorly as they have during this funk in years. Almost as if something is off there.

I bet they look different tonight given it's another pens/caps tilt. I'm looking for the caps to continue the physical style of play they have established. They gave the blues a taste of their own medicine on Sunday.

I see your pens are back at the top of the list for least penalties taken for the 30th consecutive year. It's nice to have Mario as player and owner, league is very generous with their preferential treatment

NTCL (no touch Crosby league) for sure

should be a great game. The avs get screwed with penalty calls. Case in point was the McLeod non call last night. Should have been a slash major. Whatever though we suck on the PP.

Caps embarrassed themselves and had better go look in the mirror if they want to accomplish anything this year. That was a **** show and unacceptable. Holtby was terrible too.

Personnel wise, caps need some upgrades on D and probably another 2nd line type player. Guys like Brouwer and laich need to stfu in pressers and start producing.

I feel like Ovie is on the Iginla career track. He is wasting his prime years here with the crappy supporting cast. Defense is always an issue under McPhee like another guy in DC

Great win by the Avs tonight. They got outplayed a little bit but they stayed mentally tough and were able to get 2 points out of phoenix, I think only 2nd team to do so this season.

They were clutch. We were on the road and we made a late goal to give ourselves a chance.

Oh wow. I thought I read somewhere they were 9-0-1 at home. Either way; very impressive by the Avs.

Devils stole one from LA last night. Schneider finally gets rewarded with a win. Came into that game with a 1.98 GAA and .918 SVP but only one win in nine games (1-5-3).

2-0 on this western road trip that ends in San Jose tomorrow. I was hoping for three points from these three games and they already have four.

After the game Sutter said the Devils have the "best goaltending in the league" and it's really hard to argue that they don't over the last 8-10 games.

you know what, you are right. the Yotes are now 9-0-2 at home. The homers on Altitude kept saying this was the first loss for the Yotes at home.

Yeah for sure the coyotes have some good defense men in yandle and OEL. It looks as though this avs team won't be selecting in tbe top5 Thankfully

Just heard Varlamov will formally be charged with one count of third degree assault.

So third degree is the least severe type of assault.

http://www.lawinfoboulder.com/areas_...e_assault.html

Quote:
Third degree assault is a Class 1 misdemeanor, and the only assault charge that is not a felony. Third degree assault does not require intent, but rather that a person knowingly or recklessly causes bodily injury to another person or, with criminal negligence, causes bodily injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon. Third degree assault is an extraordinary risk crime that is subject to the modified sentencing range.

Third degree assault is commonly charged in situations involving minor physical altercations that do not involve apparent injury but do involve some degree of physical pain. Third degree assault is often charged in situations alleged to involve domestic violence, for example when a wife says that her husband hit or pushed her, or vice versa, and it hurt.
