You want to know why the Seattle defense is so good, look at where they spend their money.

Also props the Broncos for finding probably 40 million dollars worth of receiving talent and having most of it on rookie contracts.

Most teams with good QBs have to spend close to $20 on the QB position, but the Seahawks and 49ers have a real advantage in that department right now. As a result they have more money go to around to the rest of the team, and better overall teams (and they still get great QB play).

How the hell do the Giants spend more on QB than we do?

Which gives them a less excuse for them to win now, because once their QBs get that contract... the team will be taking some hits across the board.

Russell Wilson's cap hit is 681k and Kaepernick's is 1.4 million

Honestly, their best defensive players are only a fraction of that amount. Their current big money guys are mediocre at best.

I guess that's true. Especially relative to their DB talent and linebackers.

What it means is that 1) the Niners and Seahawks are going to have to make some difficult choices when they have to pay at/near market prices for their QBs. And 2) We're going to rock when Osweiler takes over

The Raiders cap is a laughing stock

The Raiders could have Brady, Manning, Kaepernick, Wilson, Luck and RG3 for the dead money they have.

That's cause they are fortunate to have a QB on a low round drafting rookie contract. That graph is going to shift real soon.

Edit. Already been said.

Receiver is going to be going up for us big time after Bey-Bey gets re-upped.

John Elway is doing a fine job and Pat Bowlen is an excellent owner.

I give credit to the Raiders mgmt for eating it all now. Lots of work there to be down, toss in high draft picks the next couple of years. They might become a real team again.

They are getting their house in order by cutting bad contracts. Al Davis is gone and I expect them to draft better and not take wild flyers on the trades of the past that have gotten them in so much trouble, IE Seymore, Palmer.
