they did a sports science clip on the butt fumble - something like 1300 lbs of force in that collision, "cheek to cheek" - ha ha ha ha soooo funny that they won't let Sanchez get away from this

exactly! We as fans were so pissed last year that it had to be an issue in the locker room and front office. How you want to mimic that "celebration/spike" is beyond me. Hotdog type play where you look like a complete moron for not knowing where the big, white goal line is located.

Exactly! What does this tell you about our coaching staff or about "the locker room will make sure this doesn't happen again" mentality?

It tells you that memories are short. For coaches. And for players.

If these dumba$$es aren't reminded *NOT* to do dumb stuff on a daily basis...guess what? They'll do dumb stuff!

Lets give a little credit to the Dline. The LBs arent able to fly around and make plays if the DL isnt keeping their shirts clean, so to speak.

That one is too obvious.

The better question is, "What could you have possibly yelling at Jack Del Rio?"

Dude, there is no valid argument for that stupidity. Just take your medicine, at that point.
Agreed! Shutup and listen!

No, in fairness, this thread was started right after the play. The game was still, to a degree, in doubt; and Wesley Woodyard was being helped off the field with what looked like a potentially serious injury.

All's well that ends well.

Another late round gem draft. Sure he went full retard but he's going to be a stud player. Not surprised because I loved his game coming out of college.

In a way I don't really mind that this was a sloppy game. Gives the coaches something to yell at them about. The last thing you want is a cocky team thinking their **** don't stink and end up making these bone-headed plays later in the season in a closer game.

On another subject......Welker, you are on the 3 yard line. Why are you catching that ball, or trying to? THAT was a worse move than Trevathon's by a country mile.
Granted Welker's screw up was much worse as it directly led to a score after it gave them a 1st and goal inside the 5....however it's a little different in the fact that he's looking up at the ball....not his feet and where they are in respect to the goal line.

I wonder if his contract had a performance/incentive clause that said "for every TD scored player receives $10,000"

Trevathan's took 7 off the board which is the same as Welker giving 7 to the opposition. Both plays equal a net of minus 7 in terms of point differential

Also, the Ravens scored on the drive following Trevathan's gaffe.

And, Welker ought to know better. He's done this before.

True, but the score was 7-7 when Welker screwed up, and 42-17 when Trevathan did....not to mention the Ravens had to go 1 yard to score after Welker's, and 80 after Trevathan's

That was the worst play of the weekend. If I wasn't so sick about Rex Ryan being given an undeserved W, I would have felt sorry for Lavonte David. It's not very often that a player can say they single-handedly handed their team a loss.
