So you're going to take a slot WR over a regular outside WR?

And don't even begin to bring up Bowe's drops. Welker cost the Pats 2 SB's with his drops.

I said you could get Welker and another WR with what you paid Bowe to tread water. I know reading is hard for you but thought you could figure it out without having to draw it out for you.

I didn't bring up Bowe's drops, you did. didn't Bowe have a bunch of drops when the chef's played Indy that one year they actually made the playoffs and didn't get a 1st down until the 4th quarter?

You could have also kept Doom but you lost to a fax machine.

He was butt hurt about being asked for a pay cut. Now he is being paid more to only play on 3rd down. He is in the role Houston or Hali should be in, 3rd down pass rush specialist.

Losing Doom is mostly a wash. Yeah we lost a bit of pass rush, but we got better against the run in the process.

How often have you even watched Doom play? Last season he generated some nice pressure at times, but nearly all of his sacks came in garbage time. Meanwhile he is a liability against the run. I would've rather the Broncos could've held onto him, but by no means is his loss that big of a deal overall.

I'll be interested in how the Chefs do on defense. The offense from KC is an eventual nap, punctuated by annoying special teams plays that wake me up from my nap, where they pull some points out of their asses, forcing me to slowly fall asleep again.

Until that changes, it's 'Just the KC Chefs"

Reid Dawn? Smh

ok,... no going to look up the whole thread, but just in case no one has said it: Bob just gave Reid the Kiss of Death! Haven't you learned Bobo? Want this to turn into the epic sauce that was the "Watch your back Champ" thread? Lol!

Yup... keep repeating that to yourself. In time you will come to believe. I for once will throw up tomorrow once the game starts and see Doom in a rat bird uni. After those first few minutes though... I hope he gets his ass putted down by Clady or Franklin.

I don't think you understand. I'm not trying to convince myself of anything. Dumervil is a good player, but he isn't even close to being a great player. And his weaknesses are pretty glaring for a full-time starter. The Ravens got a good pass rush specialist, nothing more. I really don't think we'll miss the guy that much overall, though maybe a bit more with Von missing six games.

This video would have been better if half way through they would have played the JAWS music and slowly zoomed in on Andy Reid's Fupa (Fat upper p***Y area)

Elvis averages 11 sacks per season as a starter, but "isn't great" (frame of reference: Julius Peppers, future HoFer, averages 10)

The OM can and will convince themselves any player is addition by subtraction.

This is the crux of the problem to me. We had two elite pass rushers that offenses had to account for last year. For the first six weeks of this season? Zero.

Seems we actively worked to downgrade the pass rush. Although Elway stated they did not know about Von's suspension during the Dumervil fiasco, they did know he was in the program and had issues. Seems like they could have addressed Dumervil's "out of whack" contract after this year. Cutting him if need be, to get Decker, Woodyard, DT, et al taken care of. Are we all in or not?

Guess we will see soon enough.

Absolutely true, that's why in reality it must have been either:

1. A dick measuring contest

or

2. We didn't actually want him, that's why we kept moving the goal posts on keeping him to the point where we scapegoated a fax machine

Both are equally and unfortunately probable.

Maybe they are counting on Wolfe to go Watt this year?

He is still playing and starting as a DE right? Maybe not the pure rush side but they have moved him around to DT and flipped sides before in games.
