Bolden has been pretty damn good on KO and Punt coverage. I haven't noticed Jammer on STs.

I don't know why you would be pissed, it isn't like he is the difference between a SB or bust. That said, he has a pretty good chance, and has 2 ways to make the roster, IMO: Von's suspension and/or he is regarded as an upgrade to Steven Johnson(and they have to pick between the two).

Curious out of the 2012 4th round how many guys are doing anything for their teams. My guess is about 5 max with the others already being cut or fighting for a final roster spot.

Not that big a deal to me

John Fox prefers Veterans to young guys because they usually make fewer mistakes, so the Broncos cutting Bolden and keeping Jammer wouldn't be unthinkable.

You right, but it would be nice to have young depth across the board, to ensure long term success. 4th rounders are guys that have talent but need time to learn the league and develop. That usually takes about 3 years.

Remember we are talking about the 6th corner/5th safety role here and special teamer, do we really think Jammer is going to see that much playing time?

Bolden is too worried about partying with Von and pornstars in Vegas.

True, but that wasn't the case with Drayton Florence last year, at the same position.

That's a good thing. That is evidence that they are going to cut someone regardless of what they paid them. This is why Terrence Knighton getting cut would be on my short list of surprise cuts you may see.

If they cut the player the don't pay him too except for guaranteed money obviously.

IAOFM predicts the Broncos keep Bolden over Jammer and that he plays the "matchup safety" role...

The 4th round is a high round draft pick? A 4th rounder that eventually doesn't pan out is hardly my definition of a "poor mistake". That's usually about when you start taking chances on guys.

Boldin had an injury, but some upside. They took a chance. It may or may not work out.

For me, I just don't see the Broncos cutting Bolden. He plays on special teams and adds depth at CB or S. He's young and only in his 2nd year as a pro.
Unless Jammer significantly separates himself in the last game I don't see him making it if the roster spot is between those 2.

Bolden. Jammer isn't the player he was, and seems to draw a lot of penalties.

IDK, The Giants built their last 2 SB winning DL's from the 4th and 5th round if I remember right.

BTW, Champ is still walking around in a boot as of yesterday so who knows if he is ready to go opening night.

I don't have a horse in this race, I want them to keep the best player, I don't care if they decide to keep Boulder then cut Jammer.

Jammer seems like he is playing way down in the depth chart for a Vet with his experience. Plus Boldberg can help out on ST's.

What the heck are we going to do with Q Smith. Doubt we cut him but I think he will end up on IR but not have to pass through waivers

Is that possible for a rook?

If he is still hurt they can put him on IR. I haven't heard much of anything about him this offseason.

in the St L game Jammer made a couple of plays....On the other hand he also could have been flagged on either of them, and he celebrated like he'd just knocked down a last gasp pass in the super Bowl. This also was late in the game so was against 3rd or 4ths.

My bet is Jammer is cut....Bolden can get better....Jammer can't.

Depends on where he is in his rehab. It was already thought that he wouldn't likely contribute on a ton this year. So they might put him on the PUP list and see where he stands after that. If they don't think he'll contribute at all then they'll put him on IR.

This team loves CBs in numbers, bet both remain on the team and a cut is made elsewhere.

Wouldn't shock me at all. Champ is still in a boot and we run a lot of nickel coverage.
