So much for the Greg Orton hype

I was hoping Nigel Malone would at least stick on the PC

I could see Orton getting another shot down the line, but not this team, and not right now...

Players of note who on the bubble:

Virgil Green
Zach Dysert
Lance Ball
Phillip Blake
Quinton Carter
Quentin Jammer
Steven Johnson
Jeremy Beal
Omar Bolden

We are going to have to cut some good football players.

Don't think they cut Green, Dysert or Carter and hope they don't cut Bolden

Baja's predicting our big surprise will be carrying 65 players on our 52 man roster.

I think Green is safe. He is the best blocking TE on the team and he also occasionally lines up at FB.

Can't see the team moving on from Bolden after only a season.

I think both Quinton/Quentins are gone. Bolden is expendable now with Webster playing well. I think Beal will be gone too

Correct, of course, and you can bet all 32 front offices are looking closely at these txn lists for upgrades.

I find it really interesting who teams leave among the 53 just to keep them away from other teams.

It's a good problem to have, as they say. I think Dierdorf was saying that there was no chance in hell that the Broncos would take a chance and try to hide Dysert on the PS.

I say BS. There is little justification for wasting a roster spot on a guy that will never see the field in a real game this year. If someone else wants to sign him, then so be it. Otherwise, he goes to IR or the PS. But that's just my opinion.

Greene is hot garbage, Bolden hasn't shown enough that I would be heart broken if he got cut.

I am going to miss picking a nick name for Uona Kaveinga I think Uno Kagina would be a good one. You know a take on "one Hoo Haa" Too bad we will never know...

That was the only thing of sense Dierdork said all night and I think he got it off the Audio Guy.

I agree that it is a good problem to have. A few years ago during McDip****'s reign this wasn't an issue as we had little to no depth.

However, I disagree with you on your last paragraph. If the coaching staff sees something in Dysert that can be developed you absolutely keep him on the 53. Each week there are several (8?) inactives each game. We only dress 45. A team like the Jets, Oakland or Buffalo who are QB needy would most likely swipe him off waivers or PS. If you are going to have 8 non players each week it stands to reason that you use a couple of these to keep highly coveted players you don't want to lose and wish to develop at practice each day. I would say the same thing about CJ and/or McCray. We kept stiffs like Siliga and Hanie on this inactive list for just about every game last year and I would rather see us with talent that the coaches think have a future for us then guys like that last year.

Please, he's a 7th round QB. He'll be just fine on the PS.

We can agree to disagree but he was a 4th-5th round talent that fell to us in the 7th. If he is progressing well and the coaching staff thinks highly of him--we need to keep him over someone like Vinston Painter who may have been drafted higher but looks horrible right now and would be better placed on the practice squad.

I don't think we have to keep Dysert on the roster as the third QB. Practice squad him and if he gets signed (which I doubt), so be it.

Besides if Manning and Brock both go down, we're looking at Clowney sweepstakes anyway.

I agree with your premise concerning what the coaching staff may think of him in the future, but that also applies to guys like Painter who actually plays in the games. Dysert didn't sniff a snap last night, that is telling.

It may come down to Thursday night for Dysert. If he plays well, maybe he is kept, but if not, I say send him to the PS. And if he is stolen, then oh well.
