Much of the OT comes from the Sumerians and some from the Hebrews who adopted Babylonian myths during their exile in Babylon. It's a fascinating historical document. Abraham was a Sumerian from the city of Ur. I think the Bible is a hodgepodge of all sorts of stories and myths. Funny to think the Hebrew/Christian story is only four thousand years old. The Sumerian story existed for probably four thousand years on its own prior to that. It's ridiculous to believe that the Sumerian story didn't bleed into the Hebrew story.

Think of English, which came from so many different sources. That's why it is so difficult for a non-speaker to learn. Its rules make no sense and contradict each other all over the place: Plural for sheep is sheep. Moose is mooses. Mouse is mice. House is houses. Octopus is octopi. Makes no ****ing sense.

Sure, all of that is true.

Is it the basis for W*gs' atheism?

Because, if so, it's a failed logic (it doesn't follow.)

Nope.

The concept of "God" is completely incoherent. Believers consider that a feature.
