He's not going to be there when we pick.

It's clear. I hear that about players ALL the time on this board.

this is probably an obvious guy to point out, but given Denver's needs on D, I think it would be a fantastic pick.
Add me to the fan list on Dennard

I'm still in the middle of my initial prospect review, but my early impression is that this is going to be a deep draft at CB. I have quite a few on my list and I'm about halfway done. I'm not a big fan of the idea of going CB in Round 1, I think we can wait. Plus, early round CBs have been fickle as of late with the vast majority being outperformed by mid-late round CBs.

I'm only about 100 players in at the moment, but this looks like a good, deep draft to me. Broncos need to stay the course and follow the Ozzie Newsome playbook this year. No trading up, no trading away future draft picks....

Check out CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste, NEBRASKA. He was a former WR so he is raw, bit he has Seahawk CB size. 6'3 220. His 40 time will be important too him.

mine too, and I think his stock will climb during the predraft process so absent a trade up, I don't think it's a realistic option. but I'd still like to see him in orange and blue.

I like the draft time. White had a big pick 6 today. I wish I would have went with my plan and drafted him. I can't complain though Logan Ryan looks like a player so far for the Pats.

Would you say White has been the best rookie corner?

Xavier Rhodes has probably been the best corner, maybe Desmond Trufant. Dwayne Gratz and Logan Ryan were a little behind them.

Melvin White is down the list a little bit probably around where Kayvon Webster is.

this is going to be a fun OMane draft this year with all the qb's floating around in the first and second rounds. Definitely seems like a deeper draft class in all positions this time around.

I think Melvin White has outplayed most CB's in the draft. I get to see a lot of Vikings games (since I am in the area) and Rhodes played very well the last half of the season, but got burned a few times early on. Props to BMORE for touting White.

Considering White was an UDFA, and he's starting on that Carolina defense and typically shadowing the #1 WR on the other team, I think that says alot..

I can send you some up to date information tomorrow regarding my thoughts. I've just been swamped at work. Mandatory OT, but I found out I don't have to work this weekend. Thank God.

Yep been looking at him too! I'm thinking take him a little early and make a free safety out of him. Kid could be a second Atwater at that size with his skills.

Just watched the Cotton Bowl.
Saw a couple of ILBs that both looked pretty good.
Andrew Wilson from MO.
Caleb Lacy from Okie st.

Also kind of like a couple of kids from Wyo.
These 2 are my "AL DAVIS" specials. Real speed for both of them.
WR Robert Herron 5-10 185 4.35 forty with good hands could be a good slot and pr/kr.

CB/SS Marqueston Huff 6-0 195 runs an honest 4.4. He needs better coaching.

Both the Wyo kids are being rated as 3rd or 4th rounders I believe.

The numbers are not firm of course they're from the the university info releases. nothing can be trusted 'til the combine

I think ILB and S are the most important positions to fill in this draft, followed by Corner and D-Line.

What do y'all think of the pair of FSU inside backers, jones and smith? I like Smith's range and coverage ability.

Those guys are OLB in the NFL unless they put on a ton of weight. They would be welcome additions to our group. Probably players JDR could get a lot out of. Strength + Weight needs to happen tho.

I assume we're talking about first round picks. It will be difficult for the Broncos to take anything other than a DB with that first pick, but I would argue (with post 22) for Trent Murphy, DE, Stanford. I watched a number of Stanford games this year and this guy reminds me of JJ Watt. He brings it all on every down.
