Default Schefter says 5 game minimum for Von !

Adam is always on top of things and has Denver origins so I believe
what he says..............

No Doom and now no Von for 5 games..........I can't stand Miller getting our hopes up by lying to us............

Baltimore is breathing a sigh of relief and with their speedy receivers...........

Calling PFM.........we need a forty burger on opening night ?

Yesterday it was a six game minimum.

At this point, I'm waiting til something official is announced. Everything else is just throwing **** against the wall to see what sticks.

I still feel like there is way too much speculation on everything sans the facts to back it all up other than hearsay and actual Codes that may/or may not relate to the offense(s). Meh, I agree with Elusive--wait and see.

It is possible that Von just inadvertently spilled the thing by mistake. Maybe he had lifted some weights before and had fatigue in his hand and arm muscles.

Looks like the broncos pass rush has been stymied by a fax machine and a leaky bottle of urine

I heard Von is suspended for a minimum of 7 1/2 games and as a team we aren't permitted to kick field goals until week 9

ENough specultion...this is why twitter irks me. Someone hears something with, maybe, a modicom of truth and they vomit it out in 140 characters.

That said, the Ravens offense looks scary to you this season ... why exactly?

After this is over its time for Von to SHUT UP and play. I'm not buying anything he says anymore.

Von is going to be suspended for 2.75 games. He's allowed back on the field in the 4th quarter of the 3rd game, provided he pees in a cup at half time and doesn't spill it.

I do love though that we are mad at Von for getting our hopes up.

Schefter's pretty legit, he rarely say's anything that's not accurate, I'm still hoping for the 4 game suspension though.

One thing's for sure.

We definitely needed a new Von thread to discuss the same thing.

Hoping for the original suspension time?

I hope in his meeting with Goodell, he pees right on the commish while yelling "Dilute this!"

Our D could be VERY ugly early on so it balances it out. Of course alot of fans thought Raven game was in the bag in Jan we saw what happened.
It will be up to our O to win games w/o Von. Hope our D isn't on the field a ton. At this point that is what I'm thinking will happen but, Sept 5th we'll find out for sure.

So the Broncos won their games by an average of 12 points last year - and we had the number 2 defense with doom and miller.

Even with our pass rush taking a huge hit (even though Phillips almost had double digit sacks last year playing with less talented DL) - I doubt our D drops more than 10-15 places in overall ranking - and we are stronger up the middle and have better CB depth because of DRC even with Champ out. The games may be closer, but I still can't see us going worse than 4-2 in the first 6 games.

Denver will probably help over the top against Baltimore and playing a bend but don't break style of defense - limiting the big home run plays and holding the Ravens to FGs. The Ravens are also missing Pitta - and I think we can contain Ed *****on. I also doubt Denver puts Bailey on an island again against Smith. By all reports Manning is better than last year and we have Welker.

Am I crazy for not being so worried? The suspension will also mean that Von gets a little rest - and is fresh come playoff time - he looked a bit tired in that infamous game last year.

Well, I agree here but it's also changed from yesterday to today.

The funny (not funny haha, more like funny *bang* splat) thing here is that I don't think we have seen any consistent detail from either side yet. Just a series of....wait for it....

Leaks

That's funny but not nearly as funny as the people mad at the commissioner for not making him exempt from the CBA rules, or thinking he was so fatigued he just dropped the cup. Likely several times.

Yeah that one is a gem. I am waiting for the anger against Von now for Doom being gone. Or when someone gets hurt in Von's absence, that being his fault also.

This is something I know the Mane does a lot.

We speculate a possible transaction or in this case a suspension. We talk it out, often times rationalize it, predict how it will affect the team and move on. Then the event actually happens and its all DOOM AND GLOOM HOLY HELL WHAT WILL WE DO as if we never saw it coming. This happened when we cut Magahee (who will run the ball!), it happened when we drafted Montee Ball (the coaching staff must hate every other running back!)
