We need a choice when we go to the voting booth — a real choice — but right now we don’t have one. In most cases, the “choice” is between an incompetent democrat and an evil republican. And yes, you bet your sweet ass I really mean evil.

It’s time for people of good conscience to take back the republican party. To vote all those goddamn greedy corporate-welfare/human-misery politicians the hell out of a job. To tell the “tea party” to kiss our collective asses. Then maybe we can get a real choice in the voting booth. Because right now, the “choice” we get is no choice at all.

You know what’s most galling? That the republican a-holes who are pissed off about spending tax dollars on food stamps have the goddamn gall to call themselves Christian. **** you.

“Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.” ~ A. Lincoln

"Now, this means that our government, national and state, must be freed from the sinister influence or control of special interests. Exactly as the special interests of cotton and slavery threatened our political integrity before the Civil War, so now the great special business interests too often control and corrupt the men and methods of government for their own profit. We must drive the special interests out of politics. That is one of our tasks to-day. Every special interest is entitled to justice — full, fair, and complete — and, now, mind you, if there were any attempt by mob-violence to plunder and work harm to the special interest, whatever it may be, that I most dislike, and the wealthy man, whomsoever he may be, for whom I have the greatest contempt, I would fight for him, and you would if you were worth your salt. He should have justice. For every special interest is entitled to justice, but not one is entitled to a vote in Congress, to a voice on the bench, or to representation in any public office. The Constitution guarantees protection to property, and we must make that promise good. But it does not give the right of suffrage to any corporation.

The true friend of property, the true conservative, is he who insists that property shall be the servant and not the master of the commonwealth; who insists that the creature of man’s making shall be the servant and not the master of the man who made it. The citizens of the United States must effectively control the mighty commercial forces which they have called into being.

There can be no effective control of corporations while their political activity remains. To put an end to it will be neither a short nor an easy task, but it can be done."

More people on food stamps than women with jobs under Obama's watch.

That's the kind of **** that happens when you deregulate the banks and Wall Street. Right Wingers still in love with deregulation. That's the problem with ideological dogma; It doesn't change no matter how blatant the evidence of failure.

That's the kind of **** that happens when you endlessly regulate businesses. Left Wingers still in love with regulation. That's the problem with ideological dogma; It doesn't change no matter how blatant the evidence of failure --> Six years of endless government expansion, spending, and regulation. The stimulus, Dodd-Frank, Quantitative Easing, Obamacare, and trillion dollar deficits. Six years of economic stagnation that is only kept afloat by artificial government intervention. Six years of getting literally everything your benevolent leader has wanted except amnesty and the repeal of the second amendment, and nothing to show for it except a completely predictable landslide shift towards government dependency.

If this is true why did Obama give Solyndra at least a half-billion public dollars to build a manufacturing plant, why not just supply them with a large labor force? Oh wait, it also takes capital to supply a labor force unless you have slave labor available. I see the point Lincoln was making, the fruit of free labor would be capital or “Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital".

A lot like Walmart, a slave labor force creates capital ........ Lincoln would be proud.
