No, but you said "from what you've heard he will be out for the season".

Being released to join the team has nothing to do with it being season ending or not.

Yes it does. If he had a neck injury that was serious enough to be season-ending there's not a chance he is allowed to leave the hospital without overnight observation.

Yeah I'm inclined to think if you are released hours after you are injured for a neck injury that came up negative on an MRI and X-ray that said injury probably wasn't season ending in nature.

They are so overly cautious with any injury involving the neck/spine (as they should) that you don't really have any idea how serious the injury is until you get some reports back on it.

99% of the time it looks a lot worse on the field than the injury actually is because of the precautions they take, silent shots of somber players looking on, the player getting strapped onto a board and taken off the field to go to the hospital in an ambulance.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wolfe didn't miss much time, I've seen that happen with neck type injuries like this that looked a lot more serious at the time.

That's what I'm hoping....and what it's starting to sound like.

Smurf is rustling people's jimmies (to use a phrase from another forum) with all this unsubstantiated season ending talk. Calm down Smurf...so far the medical testing has been positive. I think he will be fine.

I wasn't aware that you could have "minor" neck injury because it's well, like.... on your neck

What the hell? I heard them speculating at the end of the game whether or not Wolfe might be ready for week 1 of the regular season. Now you're speculating his career may be over?

I heard Dave Logan say coaches were 'very' optimistic about a quick recovery.

If someone has heard something more grim I would like to see the source.

I was at the game sitting pretty close to the Broncos sideline the play after the touchdown champ limped off the field quickly before anyone else got off the field and he was obviously in a lot of pain, he ripped his helmet off and spiked it on the sideline he looked very frustrated and the coaches looked upset as well. I hope I am wrong but I think it could be an injury to worry about.

The way he just threw his helmet on the ground right after the play I knew he hurt himself pretty bad after I saw that.

Hopefully it is minor and hes back soon in the regular season.

Holy crap, jump to conclusions much? First Wolfe is missing the season and now champ may have lisfranc. Let's just see how it pans out. Sounds like good news for Wolfe, hopefully champs news follows suit.

A lot of what they do is for precautionary reasons. For all we know, once they got him in the ambulance for a few minutes he could have been relatively ok and they took him just to be safe.

And I tend to agree that Smurf flew off the deep end on that.

Just this morning I was working out and something popped in my neck. While it has limited my range/mobility I'll probably be back to normal in two days.

Not all neck injuries are major.

Do you think you will only have to take a year off from the gym or will it force you to quit your job? Those are the only two choices for a neck injury.
