I am sure glad the NFL had to take away the Refs pensions because they needed the money.

If Bowlen made grossed $31 million last year I suspect he isn't broke!!

Negative Gross revenues? They were paying people to attend Lions games?

Edit: At least the article gets it right "Below is the complete list of NFL franchise values and, in parenthesis, each team's operating income from 2012:"

Operating income (aka profit) is revenue minus expenses.

Granted the salary pay outs went up, I'm shocked the Broncos only made $31M last season. Not that it's something to be disappointed with to have that kind of business, just figured it would be more. You would think they would've made that in Manning merchandise alone!

Agreed. I also thought the team's worth would be closer to 2 billion.

Well Pat Bowlen looks like he is set for life. Despite "losing" some money!

Return of the Jedi cost 32 million dollars to make. It made over 450 million dollars since its release. But it never "technically" returned a profit.

Note that these are back of the envelope estimates at best. I don't think any NFL team opens their books to..anyone.. really.

Isn't Bowlen paying a ton of money to build a brand new indoor facility so the team doesn't have to drive to use that soccer one anymore?

"In last week’s edition, The Villager shared that the Broncos plan to invest $30 million constructing a new indoor field house and potentially other structures on adjacent Dove Valley vacant property". - See more at: http://www.villagerpublishing.com/br....mH2plzCY.dpuf

The Chuggers have far fewer expenses. Their recent payroll is no where near Denver's and I bet they charge more on their season tickets.
