Default Going to the game Saturday. question about taking pics got good seats what camera do you recommend?

Anyone know what the best bet would be for taking good photos at a game. I am going to the Seattle pre season game Saturday, and I will be sitting at about this spot on the visitor side I want to get good photos especially if the get an opportunity to be in the redzone near where I am sitting that be awesome.

Do you think I would be ok with a 50mm max zoom from these seats?

I been looking to get a new camera anyway so I figure now would be the best time to buy it since I am going to a game as well. Keep in mind leses bigger than 200mm are restricted when helping me.

Budget is $600 should I look to get a DSLR, Compact Camera, or a good Point and shoot.

A 50mm lens would not get you much at all. It might compare to the example pic you show in your post. A point and shoot usually has too much shutter lag. No real solution. I think the league wants it that way.
