Arrest warrant issued in January.

Subject of the warrant is one of the biggest celebrities living in the area....is certainly not in hiding.

Takes police 8 months to make arrest.

Yup, system ain't broken.

A day before Broncos linebacker Von Miller is scheduled to appear in New York for an appeal of his proposed four-game suspension, word has emerged that Miller was arrested for failing to appear in court.

According to TheDenverChannel.com, Miller was arrested Sunday for failure to appear at a hearing on a charge of careless driving, driving without a license, and no proof of insurance. The citations were issued last October.

The warrant was issued on January 2, two days after Miller failed to appear at the hearing. He was booked and released on $1,000 bond.

UPDATE 3:59 p.m. ET: “We have been aware of the matter involving Von Miller’s failure to appear in court for traffic violations,” the Broncos said in a statement. “It was reported to the league earlier this week and is being handled through the legal system.”

There's no way he wins that appeal now, even if he was on the USO tour. They'll say "weren't you just arrested yesterday? WE MUST PROTECT THE SHEILD." And then Goodell will literally throw a book at him.

Von Miller might be quite a bit dumber than I gave him credit for.

These failed tests and then driving without a license and insurance and then not showing up to court?

Did he think those things would magically go away?

It's one thing when you're just some dude that skips out on a court appearance, but Von Miller had to know this would come back to bit him in the ass being well known.

This certainly doesn't help on the eve of his appeal for his 4 game suspension.

He's on my dumb ass list now.

No excuse. You know you are to appear in court or pay the fine by mail. What happened? He didn't have enough money to pay for the ticket?

The really dumb part isn't not paying the traffic fines. It's continuing to drive after you lost your license/insurance for being stupid to begin with.

I'm as big of a Von fan as anyone, but he needs to get it together. No excuses, he shouldn't driving wrecklessly especially without a license... and he should be smart enough to know that he's got to take care of the fine or fight it in court

Good Lord Von. Is it really that hard to show up for a court date, for a minor traffic ticket.

8 months to find and arrest one of the biggest names in the city, who isn't hiding, and only got arrested because he was dumb enough to try and buy a gun, with an arrest warrant. Criminals must love that city.

Denver's chance of winning the AFC west just dropped from 99.998 % to 99.993%.
