Default 2013 Denver Broncos: Cap update after Colquitt/Kuper deals

With both of these deals accounted for the top top 51 contracts puts the Broncos at a number of $118,243,668 with an adjusted cap number (after roll over) of $129,104,175. That gives the Broncos $10,860,507 left in cap space which they can use to workout deals with impending free agents such as Eric Decker or Wesley Woodyard. Depending on how Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie performs this year, he could be another on the list the Broncos should resign. Whatever happens, the Broncos should be able to save another 1.323 million if Lance Ball is cut--he currently counts against that top 51 number but has nothing in guaranteed money or bonuses.

He got offered a deal very close to the one he took from who many call the best GM in football. Your hard on for Bowlen has left your brain bloodless & oxygen starved.

SoCal just hates Pat because he fired Shanahan. He could save a child from a well and he'd still hate him.

The remaining room this year really isn't an issue, it's the room they have left next season and the free-agents they'll hope to bring back.

It's relevant if they can get woodward or Decker or Harris out of the way this year.

Ya like Pat just can't keep his mug away from the camera. How many times a day have we seen him mugging it up for the cameras at training camp. Oh that's right we haven't.

He learned his lesson after that pic of him in the short shorts was leaked from the draft war room a few years ago.

Broncos offered a heck of alot more money than what Elvis signed w/ Baltimore the Friday of the deadline and then offered more guarenteed money the first 2 years over what Baltimore offered.

No other teams stepped up from the combine through FA to sign Elvis

This was all on Elvis who was butthurt

Blind and unwarranted hate for what many consider the best owner in pro sports make an otherwise decent poster look childish and petty. It's kind of pathetic. Get over it already man. This is a Denver Broncos forum. How about you throw your tantrums over at the Redskins boards. Sissy.

Ya I don't get this. It wasn't pennies...it was millions. And he was overpaid and got paid big time for the season he was injured. Sometimes it's about principle. Doom is a baby and not worth $10-$12 million per year.

I don't think many outside Denver consider him him the BEST OWNER IN PRO SPORTS, that's a bit much.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but the bottom line is we are in short term win now mode with PM. We need all key personnel for this Super Bowl run. Now he might not be a complete defender and he might also be somewhat overpaid but the fact is Doom is a double digit sack guy and we only have one more of those. In fact they are fairly rare across the league. Our other proven pass rusher now has other issues hanging over his head so this idea that we are going to save a few million just out of some conception of principle when it does not threaten our cap position at ALL this year but it does hurt our pass rush.....is just ridiculous. We are still 11 under after all of this and that also includes some dead money from Doom. Sorry i dont give a **** aboit Bowlen being comfortably under the cap vs. really really comfortably under. He has spent 10 years spending below the league average in actual outlays so he is very well off. So he goes one year 5 below rather than 11. We are trying to win a SB. Deal with it.

I've seen him come up as number 10 on a bunch of lists.

Here is one:

Yeah, I think Elway knew he had Doom in a pickle and Doom would have to renegotiate because there was no market for him. Because of the FAX everyone lost.
