One of my favorite songs, Billy Jean, has quite a few lyrics where for the longest time I had no idea what he was singing and was guessing wrong.

An example: "Who can stand when she's in demand her schemes and plans" Sounded like "who can stand when she's in the bed ersking her glands"

"For forty days and for forty nights the law was on her side" heard as "for forty days and for forty nights I was on the scene."

"Then every head turned" sounded like "Then heavy heads turned."

It's a very stylized song and some of the lyrics are sung so fast it's hard to make out.

My young kids love Blinded by the Light, and they think it says "doosh" and they don't even know what a douche is.

I know it's "deuce," but he clearly enunciates "doosh."

"You've got to pay the Troll's toll to get inside the boy's hole" instead of "You've got to pay the Troll's toll to get inside the boy's soul" - The Nightman Cometh by Charlie Day.

I remember when this Third Eye Blind song came out in the 90s. My friends totally busted me singing the wrong lyrics too.

What I heard:
I want something else
To get me through this
Seventy foot conga line

What they say:
I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life

Elton John - Rocket Man

Never realized that "Burning out a tulip hair alone" was really "burning out his fuse up here alone"?

That movie almost got me caring about baseball when it first came out. I even remember having an Anaheim Angels hat. The Mighty Ducks was better, and as such, hockey a better sport.

I STILL think she's saying "I try to fart like a whale", which quite frankly is a magnificent thing to try and do.

I was going to say this one but you beat me to it. Even as a kid when I didn't know what a "douche" was, I sang it like it was part of the song.
