Default Best misheard lyrics thread

Some of these kill me... I thought I'd start a "misread lyrics" thread.

This ones that have been on my mind:

---------

Don Henley, Boys of Summer:

What I hear, "I can see you, your breasts keep shining in the sun."
The real lyrics, "I can see you, your brown skin shining in the sun."

---------
Macklemore, Thrift Shop

What I hear, "I'm gonna rob some cash, only got 20 dollars in my pocket."
The real lyrics, "I'm gonna pop some tags, only got 20 dollars in my pocket."

Kansas, What's on my Mind

What I hear:
"Would you pardon me, my penis is showing."

The real lyrics:
"Would you pardon me, my feelings are showing."

That blinded by the light song

It always sounds like he is saying "wrapped up like a douche in the middle of the night"

I am not sure what he is really saying, but I just assume its not "douche"
Probably "duece"

I also had a friend who swore that the national anthem began "Jose, can you see?"

That movie almost got me caring about baseball when it first came out. I even remember having an Anaheim Angels hat. The Mighty Ducks was better, and as such, hockey a better sport.

lol, when that song came out I thought the chorus was "when the poison summer has gone..." instead of "when the boys of summer have gone...."

One of my all time fav misunderstandings of lyrics is the old CCR song "There's a Bad Moon on the Rise" I had a friend who thought CCR was singing "There's a Bathroom on the Right"

Big ole Carolina, don't carry me to Paraguay.....

Should be
Big ole jet airliner, don't carry me to far away.

Lucy in disguise with diamonds.

From Rolling Stones Beast of Burden. "I can suck it up", heard as "I can suck a duck"

There are lots of opportunities to mis-hear the lyrics to "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" by the Hollies. Even karaoke CDs have the words wrong -- "justify my beautiful song" is actually "just a 5-9 beautiful, tall". And even though it sounds like they're saying "sitting in a nest with Batman", those are not the real words.

I labeled my radio tape "Stafeo" (for the Rolling Stones song "Start me up").

Commercial says: "Pour some shook up Ramen"

It's not a misheard lyric, but members of my grade school purposely changed the words to "Rock Me, Amadeus". It became "Eat me, I'm a Danish"...

We thought we were so funny...

When I was a kid, this is how I heard "Wish You Were Here":

And did you exchange
A walk on part in a wall
For a negro in a cage
