4 RBs AND a FB? Yah, no.

What I liked was CJ's vision! That was TD'esque! Don't get me wrong M.Ball gave a M. Anderson clone proformance. But CJ looked like he was giving out punishment like and never say die attitude. L.Ball would fall of someone to the ground if someone gave him s stunky look.

CJ displayed good vision today. He's has a really good burst, decent moves to evade tackles and he runs downhill with power. He definitely earned more carries going into the upcoming week of camp. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear him getting some looks with the 2's. Doesn't look good for Lance Ball though.

About time! I hope CJ can play some ST and push L.Ball out!

I wouldn't say Montee gave any kind of performance one way or the other. Too few carries and the blocking in front of him was an abomination. I was honestly disappointed that we didn't get to see more of him, but that blocking was so bad I didn't really feel one could've judged him fairly even if he had gotten more carries.

CJ did look good. Lance Ball has NO vision at all. Did you see that huge cutback lane he missed. I've always like those backs who can feel daylight, rather then just plow into the pile. I mean, it wasn't like it was some small gap he missed. There was NOTHING on the left side of that play and he didn't even have a clue. Lance is probably a much better catching RB then he is a runner. He's just got no feel.

But I'm not going to call it just yet. Still more games to see the scrubs battle it out.

And on a side note, I know we are injured up front on offense but that was ugly through and through.

Even if he was doing it against 3rd, 4th stringers, he was doing what he was supposed to when he was supposed to. I like that. Anticipate seeing more of him and hopefully he maintains his show.

Exactly. Difference is I think CJ has some Practice Squad eligibility. Maybe he'll stick around.

CJ got his best work agains the scrubs, but there is no denying his vision and cutting ability. The kid really has heart, and looks like our most natural ZBS runner - he would be Bobby Turner's next 1K wet dream.

I hope he gets a real shot (he deserves it), but he better be good as ST if he is going to make the active roster.

I always loved the "hes killing it, but he's going against 2nd and 3rd stringers". If that's the case doesn't that mean he's better than that level of talent, and if so, doesn't that mean he's pretty good?

More like Jamaal Anderson! CJ runs mean and he looks big out there. Maybe he can school Montee how to hit a hole and run with some aggression. I know it was Ball's first game but I thought he looked timid and indecisive. Hopefully the nerves will calm in the next few games and he can perform like he did for the Badgers.

CJ Anderson has Quintin Griffin written all over him. I wish he was small, so I could call him Mighty Mouse 2.0.

Maybe I'll just call Hillman Mighty Mouse 2.0 and be content.

He looked very good imo. Better than all the others in the game. Take a look at the fourth down run he made. Even though he came up short, he was met in the backfield. When I saw him stop and go on that play, I got excited. Coupled with his great feet, acceleration and cutting on that drive, he got my attention. If he can pass block and knows the playbook, I believe he could be the starter before the seasons done.

Starter? Woah lets slow down here ha! I am at more of an ease seeing what I saw with CJ when come regular season RBs are going to go down with injuries. In that aspect I want him to make the final roster cause when someone goes down we will have a viable option there other than Lance I got no vision Ball.

^This! He needs to be able to play ST to stick. TD had to do it before getting his shot at RB.

If we are going to start running the zone stretch plays again the back's vision is just as important as anything else

We saw CJ slicing and dicing through the cutback lanes only to watch Lance Ball run into the pile for a yard or two with the same Oline

Not saying he will be the starter
But I think he deserves to challenge the other RBs

I really like CJ's physical attributes, he's 5'8" and 225lbs. If he has any kind of speed you know he can be an effective RB in the NFL. He's got that low center of gravity and he's hard to track and bring down, especially behind a big oline.

Why is it so hard to believe that CJ couldn't become the starter? Hillman and Knowshow haven't shown much of anything to me. Ball looks very much like a rookie that isn't close to being ready. I understand where you're coming from in that it was one performance and we need to temper expectations but what have those three done to warrant all the respect? I guess they were drafted high and make more bread but I wasn't impressed with them at all. I don't think Hillman or Moreno is worth a shyt, to be honest.
