Default JT's blocking was not missed today

Not that CJ wasn't great and not that JT isn't a weapon for us, but this should be something the coaches take note of. Elway as well in the offseason.

6 or 7 O linemen or Linemen /TE all day.....that really helps you to block...both run and pass.

Didn't miss the TE in the passing game...but could have used JT in the RZ.

Offense beat a damn good defense for Miami today. Our Defense helped but didn't play all that well. One TIP/ strip finally went OUR way!

MVP was CJ Anderson...He made no less than four plays that saved the game. 3rd down run to get the first, final TD, kick recovery, and final run to ice it (I guess he didn't want the defense to get back out there again.)

I'm honestly not a fan of TEs that are great receivers and terrible blockers. I can live with a great receiving tight end that is merely adequate in blocking, but anything less just isn't my thing. JT is a nice toy for Manning but I really don't think he makes our overall offense better.

Until CJ screws up and ya all will be flipping a script like always..JT's presence is very much needed on the field..

My supporting argument is the game tape. Whats the debate? This team is toast without a run game and JT can't hold Greens jockstrap at blocking. So what do you need explained to you? Are you saying Green doesn't belong on the field when JT's healthy ?

He had more than those. He had so many good plays today, I totally lost count.

JT is still much needed on the field but i could see them not pay him, and invest in the OL, keep Green, etc.

Or atleast not worth 8M a season.

I'm not sure you can reaaallly correlate CJ's great game with JT being out.

I don't think he can, all the blocks were by the OL and CJ was able to find a crease into the second and third level...
Yeah, we did have some blocking downfield, but CJ's got some moves!

if you really think Denver's running game was due specifically to JT being out.....it probably had more to do with actually committing to the running game.

Green does not pose the threat to the d that JT does. JT's mere presence helps the running game by keeping an extra tackler out of the box.

Maybe this thread should just be a kudos to an OC and QB who finally embraced the running game instead of treating it like a nuisance.

JT's value is tied to how well the O-line is blocking. When they absolutely need blocking help at TE then JT is exposed. When they have the luxury of letting JT play around as a WR then he can be a beast.

Then watch the replay and see how many awesome blocks green and to a lesser extent Tamme made today. Then if you get bored pop in the NE game and watch JT at the line of scrimmage. Look, if our front five weren't playing so poorly, then yeah, you're right, but they are.

Minus the TD late, defense did well late in the game.

Burse fumble put them in a bad spot.

EFFECTIVE run blocking ( mainly due to extra men in our line) helps a running back. And an Effective running game is why Peyton had so much time and clean pockets the second half. Miami couldn't sell out for the pass rush.

If we go back to ANY of the OLD game plans and scheme the coaches would be dumb.

The combo today can WIN and WIN big!

I still think we need to run a lot more stretch and pitch plays.

This is the same look offense we started the season with. Jumbo packages with an extra tackle and Green at TE.
