Thought this was funny...a copmment from the link

"Thank goodness. I'm so tired of paying all this money to watch these damned guys go out there, do something they think is "good," and then show positive emotion about it. It's such bull****. This is a precision competition. You carry out your role according to script, you succeed or fail, and you repeat. I've been trying for YEARS to get my section to stop carrying on, what with all their "clapping" and "chants" and "woop whoop" business. It's tedious and really is a distraction from my study of the competitors. But this is a positive step by the league and I applaud it. Next up, let's finally get the officials to issue their PA rulings in terse German. Also, the games should only be aired in black and white. Color and HD are far too enthusiastic for our liking. And sad clowns should replace those scantily clad tramps who parade the sidelines each game. Chrissakes, enough is enough already. Today 9:19am"

Haha "terse German"

That self nutshot, followed up by a knockdown shiver is probably the funniest thing I've seen in weeks

I don't necessarily agree with the rule but if you don't want to get penalized, then don't celebrate and just hand the ball to the ref. It's that simple.

Didn't read the link, didja kiddo?

Sack dances have nothing to do with "handing the ball to the ref." Neither does the military-style salute.

And you're right. If you don't want to get penalized or have any fun or be an individual in any way whatsoever, just hand the ball to the ref and turn toward the commissioner and give him a knowing nod of the head.

Loved the idea of going back to black and white broadcasts too. Why not suck the rest of the fun out of the game?

Welp, I wont be buying any nfl merchandise this year. That'll be my own personal way of saying I do not approve. Ridiculous.

After a big play, players should face East to NFL offices and do this for Goodell

Hah, that's a good point. The NFL needs to not be hypocritical but we know that won't happen.

The sack dances, TD dances and whatever are just extra for me. I can take it or leave it. I'm watching the game for the actual game of football.

PFT conveniently left out the most important part of the rule in that this only applies to celebrations done directly at the opponent. It amazes me that one website could post such a sensationalized and false article and then so many other media sources pick up on it and everyone overreacts.
