Default Petition to induct the Barrel Man into the Broncos Ring of Fame

We, the faithful, orange and blue fans of Broncos Country, are thrilled and thankful with the direction and success of our beloved Broncos under your leadership. It has vaulted the Broncos back to the ranks of the NFL's Elite teams, and we, the fans are elated to be a part of it. Because the Broncos and the fans have a special bond, like none other in the NFL, the stadium is full of 75,000 family members every Sunday. I can think of no fan who more epitomized Broncos fans and the love we have for our team more than The Barrel Man, Mr. Tim McKernan. He represented all a Broncos fan should be-passionate, loyal and a little touch of crazy! He did this for over 30 years both at home and on the road, and as you know, he is enshrined in the Pro Football HOF in the fan section. When he passed in 2009, each stadium held a moment of silence in his memory. I know several teams in the NFL(Buffalo and Seattle) have honored their fans with a spot in their ring of fame. I can think of no better candidate to honor than Mr. McKernan whom you are both familiar with. We, the undersigned family of Broncos Country, respectfully request that you please consider inducting Tim "The Barrel Man" McKernan as the second non-player into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame

This was done after consulting Tim's widow and has her blessing.

The petition can be signed by those who want to support it at
www.barrelman2rof.info

It's free..Pay no attention to the nonsense about donations, that's iPetitions trying to make a buck.

Players, coaches, and owners are the only people who belong in the ring of fame in my opinion. If they want to commemorate him somewhere else in the stadium, or possibly outside it, I approve, but I do not like the idea of putting him in the ring of fame.

I think they should sell pickles from barrels just like the barrel Barrel Man wore at all concession stands.

No thanks. I'd be ok with some form of tribute, like a statue in the south stands - but not the Ring of Fame. I don't even think he would want to be in the Ring of Fame.

I'm not for putting fans into the ROF. Not the purpose for it, IMO. Fan wall, display, "Fan HOF" whatever, yes of course. Not in the ROF though.

Barrel Man is a big part of Denver Broncos fan history, but he's not the only crazy Broncos fan. A line needs to be drawn, and fans don't need to be a part of the ROF...

I agree with putting some honor elsewhere, not the ROF. If you're gonna do a fan related honor in ROF, it should be something like a 12th man/RM Thunder thing that represents all the fans. 'Cep the ones in the wine and cheese boxes, of course.

What's wrong with the Barrel Man Pickles idea? Everybody loves a good pickle and his face would be on a barrel at every concession stand in SA at Mile High

No on the RoF for barrel man but yes on some kind of fan tribute section in the stadium which can be started with BM.
