You do not have Aaron Brewer, LS on the squad for S/T.

You'll always be my buddy Req. We've been through too much. Wonder where you go sometimes. Guess that's the life of an outlaw.

Bmore is my current frenemy. Paybacks may still be pending.

Alright, so I've got Q Carter (I guess), and CJ Anderson is on the squad until they are forced to make a decision when JD Walton comes off the pup.

McCray goes practice squad.

I have not been as active for the past few months. Been traveling a lot and looking for work. Only got internet on my phone. It has been nice to get away.

Sounds like Knighton might be in trouble. Williams has passed him and Jackson is getting more reps.

If C.J. Anderson keeps performing in the preseason, I don't think he'll clear waivers for the PS.

26 on offense

QB- Manning, Osweiler
RB- Hillman, M. Ball, Moreno, L.Ball
FB- Hester
TE- Dreesen, Tamme, J. Thomas, Green
WR- D. Thomas, Decker, Welker, Caldwell, King, Holliday
LT- Clady, Clark
LG- Beadles
C- Lilja, Ramierz, Davis
RG- Vasquez, Blake
RT- Franklin

24 on defense

LE- Wolfe, Jackson
RE- Ayers, Phillips, Smith
DT- Vickerson, Williams, Unrein or Knighton (one of them gets cut)
SLB- Miller, Trevathan
MLB- Bradley, Irving
WLB- Woodyard
CB- Bailey, DRC, Harris, T. Carter, Bolden, Webster
FS- Moore, Q. Carter
SS- Ihenacho, Adams, Bruton

3 Specialists

K- Prater
P- Colquitt
LS- Brewer

IR- CJ Anderson

PUP- Walton, Kuper

I think Bubba Caldwell & Quinton Carter could be on the bubble & they might get cut when Walton or Kuper comes off the PUP list or for more depth somewhere else.

Does CJ Davis have any practice squad eligibility left?

problem is all these PS guys many are listing:

Zac Dysert (QB) / Lerentee McCray (LB) / CJ Anderson (RB) / Aaron Hester (CB)

can play in the league by reports, so might be picked up by anther team. I think they will regret not keeping McCray in the long run. Dysert may end up being a quality number 2 QB who might be able to challenge to start in the coming years. Too bad the broncos drafted Ball this year, otherwise Anderson would stick. I don't think the broncos will have 2 rookie backs on the final 53.

Not a chance big Knighton will be cut. I hate to say it, but he is slowly becoming the next DJ Williams on the board. I think Knighton, Vickerson, Sly, and Urein all make the team. I think Sly, Vickerson, and Knighton will pretty much the get same amount of snaps. However, I dunno why you have Adams still on the roster because I highly doubt they will keep him. I think it's going to be Moore, Duke, Burton, and Carter at the safeties.

I think they keep Adams for the vet experience.. however, I can see one of the safeties getting cut for some LB depth (maybe they just use S. Phillips as a DE/LB) ... either McCray or Johnson for special teams.

From Tim & Pat's Sirius camp report:

Duke Ihenacho got some love from everybody who was asked about him, and both Tim and Pat said they were impressed with him. Everybody also cautioned us not to sleep on Mike Adams, though. He's well-regarded within the building, and nobody should expect him to be cut. Pat spoke about having a big nickel group that you like to combat 12 personnel, and I see Adams being a big factor there, even if Ihenacho beats him out for the base snaps.

As of this week, I think this is spot on. I think Quinton Carter, Omar Bolden, Phillip Blake, Greg Orton, Virgil Green and Hester are probably the only roster spots that might be really fluid. The rest of the player positions seem to be pretty settled, barring the unforeseen.

I have it on good authority the coaching staff really likes how Malik has played to this point and how Knighton plays the rest of preseason could determine whether he's even on the team or not.

You have to keep him over Unrein IMO

I ask anyone critical of Knighton to Rewatch just the first series of the 49ers pre season game.

The very first play he would have had a TFL, but Ayers drove across the formation and allowed Little James to bounce the play outside.

He frequently drew double teams, showed the ability to anchor and shed. He certainly isn't the pass rusher Jackson is, but Knighton made his way in the backfield several times.

I didn't see anything disappointing from the limited body of work that we watched.

I don't see how you keep Unrein over Knighton.
