Denver made it out great. Koppen and a back-up RB... Look around the NFL... Denver did well. Now they need to start kicking ass, starting with Seattle.

Maybe this will enable them to find a way to stash him away on IR or PUP for awhile, without exposing him to waivers.

We'd have to put him on IR because he is ineligible for the PUP list.

Lance Ball is a curse. I'm now certain that if you moved him to another position, whoever is ahead of him in the lineup will somehow get SARS or develop a peanut allergy and eat a PBJ sammich.

It is impossible to get rid of him and now I know why the coaches won't do it.

I don't think it matters the severity of the injury in terms of him playing this year

Unless he can come back and play the final two preseason weeks he is almost assuredly going on IR

I don't see the coaches using a roster spot on a bubble UDFA based off of 1.5 quarters of preseason play

It sucks though he looked head and shoulders better than Lance Ball
And the fact that he might again make the team is sad

Peyton Manning said CJ Anderson's injury sounded horrible. Could hear the rookie RB screaming in pain before he was carted off.

******* aweful! This is clearly the work of the football gods throwing down a warning to me for being slightly giddy at the potential of a season ending knee injury on Brady yesterday.

Why stash a guy on IR that may be a shell of his former self (if it's an ACL or total reconstruction or shattered femur, etc.)? injury settlement and cut.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a broken leg.

One thing that would makes this all easier, M Ball starts playing like the FO expects him to. Time to show up M Ball

Watching Hard Knocks last week and seeing their rookie end his season with an injury was nothing short of heartbreaking to see.

I can't imagine the emotion, best of luck CJ.

The IR/PS RB torch has been passed from Mario Fannin to CJ Anderson.

Thus it was, thus it shall ever be. The circle of life, and all that.....

If this means we get to watch Lance Ball run into the pile 2 yards at a time all second half on Saturday I am going to be pissed

Montee hasnt done anything yet, perhaps he can get the bulk of the reps to figure what hes doing

Hester has surely moved ahead of Lance Ball in the pecking order. We're still OK.

Please, God.

The funny thing about this boards obsession with Fannin was...he didnt even play! Did he? Or if he did, he did nothing to warrant any conversation. I think people were just enamored wth his forty time. At least CJ performed in a game.

My wife had never seen the show before and now will never watch again after seeing that part. Very emotional.

I'm really gutted for CJ.

Hate to see anyone get injured but for a young, undrafted rookie who was really making strides it's especially terrible. He may never get this close again. I just pray he can make a full recovery and have a shot again next year.

Best of luck CJ, we'll be pulling for you.
