So we will hve to cut a TE? Who? Tamme or Green?

I'd try and trade Tamme to Bmore for a future pick or someone for a promising center

Don't understand why people are ok with trading Tamme. He made a lot of big third down catches last year. If we cut him, we are putting a lot of faith in Thomas who has not been able to stay healthy and has proved nothing.

We kept all 4 of the TE's last year, so I don't see why we have to cut or trade one if we don't want too.

So you'd let Green go?

If we did anything we should cut Green and keep Thomas, Dreessen, and Tamme.

6 receivers and 4 TE's? some other position will be very thin.

So we cut the player who is better today? We will be cutting good football players this year.

Yep. And with this high powered fast moving offense it could be expected to see players get hurt or tired and pull themselves out of games. I like the depth at both those positions.

That is the exact number of players we kept last year.

This is the truth. Given that fact why not try and get a future pick before we cut one (or more ) of those guys. The player that would have the most value to another team that we can afford to part ways with is Tamme. IMO

Ys I understand that but we have some very promising players at other positions this year that would be harder cuts than Tamme. IMO

Like who? I can already name one player that plays the same position as Tamme that would be WAY easier to cut.

Also I would bet the farm we only carry 2 QB's this year. So we will have an extra roster spot there.

Yeah, agreed. Unless Dysert really steps up in the preseason, I see no reason to keep 3 QB's.

Agreed. Right now he has to be a PS player.

This. Green is expendable when the rest of the TE corps is stacked.

Just of conversation sake;

Is Tamme that much better than Green that you would not keep Green & a 4th round pick over Tamme? Tamme has a stout contract too.

No reason at all to keep 3 unless your 3rd won't clear waivers on ps or they are a brad smith type player that sees action.

Did you watch any games last year?
Tamme was an important part of the offense all year, and will be this year as well.
Green has shown basically nothing.
