Tough day for the o-line, particularly at tackle. Credit Von Miller and Robert Ayers with a sack and pressure respectively

Fox: Carter out with knee, Johnson out with knee. Quanterus left with a knee.

Broncos Training Camp Review
by Team Spano on 08/01/13

After a two day hiatus, I came back to camp and immediately noticed a cohesiveness surrounding the Broncos that I haven't yet seen between mini-camp and the first days of training camp.

Tom Nalen was telling us how this camp looks very business-like and very formal compared to previous camps that he had been involved with in the past.

Watching Peyton Manning effortlessly put the ball wherever he likes, time after time, during very fast paced drives, where the decisions were made at an instance and the precision was pin-point, was an absolute treat.

During a five play span, we saw Manning take the first team offense about 60 yards and it couldn't have taken more than 30 seconds of play clock time. The end result was a touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone by Demaryius Thomas. Peyton's stat line during that drive was 4/4 with three completions to Decker and one to Thomas.

It should also be noted that Peyton Manning's arm strength has increased dramatically since last season. We have already seen the deep-out thrown perfectly and with zip numerous times in camp. Manning's body even looks much more cut than it did last year. The softer, more raw, looking version of Peyton is gone and the lean, mean, ripped version with a six pack outline is alive and well...

Was waiting for a response to that. Just saying anything about his knee kind of scares me. He dropped in the draft not cause of lack of talent, but cause of his knee.

I realize it's fat guy to oranges here but I have knee problems and let me tell you, once they start...they just don't stop. I can't run on a damn treadmill for a week without needing to take a couple days rest. I can only imagine what these guys go through.

I'm Not. Jack Del Rio is one of, if not the best, defensive coordinator in the league and I believe he will find the right chemistry to make this defense great, maybe top 5.

The defense will have to hold up it's end because some of these games have scorefest written all of them, New York, New England for example.

Even without Miller, I think Del Rio will find a way.
