Default OT-Don't fall a sleep at the wheel.

WOW

Here's the story

A customer said he fell asleep in his truck. His foot must have fell on the gas peddle. Thus as he slept it blew the motor.

Fact.

The truck has a 5200 rpm rev limiter on it from the factory. Does that mean it still could not blow up ? No, but it would take a while. I'm thinking in the hour or 2 range.

Question of the day.

Could you fall a sleep in your truck for 2 hours while the motor was taching out at 5200 RPMS ?

It was stationary but on, and he fell asleep? Haha wow that damage is gnarly

I will confirm that falling asleep behind the wheel is bad... I just ended up wrecking my car though. If you're feeling tired, PULL OVER AND POWERNAP. Just turn off the car so you don't end up like this guy though hahahaha

Total BS. Go out to your vehicle and set your foot on the gas. Don't press the gas, just rest your foot there. You have to press your foot to move the gas pedal down. It doesn't just move down on it's own. The weight of somebody's foot does not produce enough force to move a pedal down.

I can do just that when I have my steel-toe shoes on.

I can't believe that it was doing that much damage and not making enough noise to wake him. Was he drunk?

DOHC Toyota 3.4 liter.

These are bullet proof or at least I thought.

Oh and he said he was pulled over. He was not driving at the time.

I know a guy who did this to a truck.

He lost his license for a DUI when he crashed into a pile of logs at a dead end, so after the accident, he would sit out in his truck and get wasted in his parents' driveway. Anyway, one time he fell asleep with his foot on the accelerator somehow and blew the damn motor.

That's not even the craziest story I can tell you about that nitwit...

Tape, bondo, a couple of tin cans and dirt thrown on it should fix it up in no time.
