No, the last time Fox had a team like that he went to the playoffs with Tim Tebow as his QB.

No, he went to the SB with Delhomme and with Manning and won the division with Tebow.
2-14 was the owner being cheap and the GM being a idiot.

Agent Steve Weinberg, on behalf of the receiver, accepted a deal with the Chiefs in principle, according to one team source. Weinberg then engaged in negotiations with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to another source involved in the process.

While shopping the Chiefs offer to the Bucs, Weinberg never explained that he had already accepted the terms of Kansas City's offer. Later in the night, Sanders' agent had agreed to terms with the Broncos, which is where he is currently headed. Sanders and Weinberg also rankled the 49ers by agreeing to visit, then blowing it off.

"This was one of the worst situations in modern football negotiations," one executive involved said. "Totally wrong. This needs to be stopped."

Reached at his home late Saturday, Weinberg declined to comment on the record when informed of the allegation

He took his Super Bowl form as a player and carried it into the general manager position, nobody has made a career of getting humiliated in the Super Bowl quite like John Elway.

is that 3 blowouts now?

Bob your team hasn't been in a Super Bowl since the advent of the color television.

When he was hired by the Broncos in January of 2011, Elway did not understand a lot about the administrative side of football, and how the NFL worked. He also was not connected in ways people in his position need to be connected. But one thing came naturally to him: leadership.

In the three years John Elway has been in charge, the Broncos have a .708 winning percentage and have made a Super Bowl appearance and three playoff appearances. What's more, he has operated with the kind of panache you would expect from the quarterback who engineered The Drive and led his team to two Super Bowl victories.

Elway is different. Just as he was a once in a generation quarterback, he is a once in a generation quarterback turned executive.

"I asked an NFC scout to predict which teams in the AFC would have the best drafts. I asked for three and to put them in order of best to worst. His response:

Denver: "Elway might be best in business now."

Houston: "Almost impossible to screw up the No. 1 pick. Too many good players to choose from."

New England: "Bill (Belichick) isn't perfect, but he's always picking near the bottom of the round and still builds good teams. Yes, he has Brady. I know that."

Very nice. Hope we have a strong draft and get back to and win the SB.

" During the offseason, defensive coordinators are like kids at Christmas. They want everything, but expect reality to clobber them over the head.

Denver's Jack Del Rio couldn't believe his gifts this spring.

"I said, you know, if I could make it happen, it would be a dominant rush end, a strong safety that will come up and really strike fear in an offense and really be a tone-setter, and a premium corner. There's no way we'll get that done, but I'd love to see that. Any way you can make that happen, Mr. Elway?" Del Rio said at "A Night with Coaches" on Tuesday for suite holders and sponsors. "But John pulled it off! You've got to be kidding me!"

Manning makes Elway look good just like he did Dungy and Caldwell. Without him, they are nowhere close to as good of a team. Not even debatable.

Manning is in Denver because Elway the badass GM outmaneuvered every other GM(KC included) that wanted him.

Sure Elway gets the rewards that comes with having a guy like Peyton, but Elway worked so he could bestow that award amongst the fans of the Broncos.
